    摘要： A gear set for a transmission for use in limited space and capable of transmitting relatively large amounts of power with a small diameter of the gear sets, comprising a series of helical gear elements having stub shafts extending laterally from either side thereof, each of the stub shafts having teeth formed at the remote ends thereof and a central axial bore extending through each gear element and a coupler adapted to engage the teeth on adjacent gear elements join gear elements in driving contact. The gear set having a relatively large effective diameter, and a tension rail extending through the axial bore in the gear elements with retainers at either end of the tension rail so as to effectively permit limited axial movement along the tension rail while preventing inadvertent disengagement.

    摘要： Communication traffic redirection systems and methods are disclosed that allow for redirection of communication traffic over the Internet based, at least in part, on the type of higher-level communication protocol intended to be used. The systems and methods permit redirection of only certain types of communication traffic of interest, for example HTTP traffic, while permitting other types of communication, for example SMTP traffic, to pass without redirection. The systems and method can employ a training and dynamic feedback procedure to ensure only traffic of interest is redirected. The systems and methods provide efficient redirection of specific types of traffic to redirect landing pages, and allow for efficient methods of generating revenue through advertising.

The thermal controller directs the thermoelectric device to provide the first heat transfer, when the temperature measure is above a top operating temperature, and directs the thermoelectric device to provide the second heat transfer, when the temperature measure is below a bottom operating temperature.     摘要： An Atomic Force Microscope (AFM) using a cantilevered probe containing a slider of a kind useable in a disk drive. The AFM may use a test surface similar to a disk surface in the disk drive and measure friction, lubricant depletion, and/or scratch test in the AFM to estimate the same under conditions experienced in the disk drive. The AFM may also include a Peltier plate thermally coupled to test object to maintain test surface at controlled test temperature. Refinements of the measurements are disclosed.
