摘要： In order to protect the passengers of an airplane against the effects of depressurization of the cabin, breathing masks are fed with oxygen at a rate which is an increasing function of cabin altitude. Oxygen is fed via a constriction and an economizer bag, and an initial fraction only of the gases breathed out is caused to be re-breathed by collecting the initial fraction in a flexible re-breathing bag in communication with the mask. The re-breathing bag has a volume in inflated state which is not less than the total dead volume of the respiratory tract and the mask. A protective apparatus comprises a feed control unit supplying an adjustable flow rate to masks connected to a general pipe via respective economizer bags. A re-breathing bag retards re-breathing and stores only an initial fraction of the gases breathed out on each exhalation.

摘要： A breathing apparatus for an aircraft crew member has a breathing mask provided with a demand regulator and connected to a source of breathing gas, such as a pressurized oxygen cylinder or preferably an OBOGS. The apparatus includes an individual buffer plenum specific to the mask on a line for feeding the regulator of the mask from the source. The volume of the plenum is sufficient to provide for at least two typical breaths of the mask wearer in succession. A non-return check valve is located between the plenum and the source.

摘要： The equipment for military aircraft pilots comprises a helmet (10) having a shell and a visor (18) for placing in front of the eyes. A central portion of the visor is of a shape such that at each point its minimum radius of curvature is substantially in a vertical plane and its maximum radius of curvature is in a plane substantially orthogonal to the preceding plane. The radius of curvature of the visor in the horizontal plane lies in the range 110 mm to 145 mm and its radius of curvature in a vertical plane parallel to the midplane of the helmet varies from about 135 mm in the center to about 75 mm in lateral zones.

摘要： The equipment is usable by a person exposed to NBC threats. It has a helmet, a face-cover provided with fastenings for connection to the helmet and with a coupling for a breathing gas feed or ventilation hose. A flexible envelope extends the helmet and the face-cover downwards. For providing sealed connection between the helmet, the face-cover, and the envelope, a hoop is fixed to the helmet in permanent or removable manner. It projects from the base of the helmet forwards. The top edge of the hoop receives the face-cover and the lower edge hoop receives the envelope in sealed manner.
