    摘要: The object of the present invention is to provide an optical recording medium which includes a substrate, a first information layer and a second information layer, the first information layer and the second information layer are disposed on the substrate through an intermediate layer in a laminar structure; recording and reproducing is performed on each of the two information layers by laser beam irradiation from the first information layer side; the second information layer is provided with at least a reflective layer, a dielectric layer, and a second dye recording layer formed in this order; and the dielectric layer is formed from any one of materials selected from the group consisting of oxides, nitrides, sulfides, carbides or mixtures thereof from any one of elements which are not same as metal elements and semi-metal elements used for forming the reflective layer.

    摘要: An optical recording medium, a method for producing the optical recording medium, and a method and apparatus for recording and reproducing the optical recording medium are provided. The optical recording medium comprises a first information layer comprised of a first substrate and a first recording layer comprising at least an organic dye, which is disposed on the first substrate and a second information layer comprised of a second substrate, a second reflective layer disposed on the second substrate, a second recording layer comprising an organic dye, which is disposed on the second reflective layer and a second protective layer disposed on the second recording layer, and an intermediate layer on which the first recording layer of the first information layer and the second recording layer of the second information layer are disposed in such a manner that the first recording layer is disposed on a surface of the intermediate layer and the second recording layer is disposed on another surface of the intermediate layer, wherein a light absorbance of the second recording layer at the wavelength of the light for the optical recording is larger than a light absorbance of the first recording layer at the wavelength of the light for the optical recording.

    摘要: The present invention provides a two-layered optical recording medium containing a first substrate, a second substrate, a first information layer, an intermediate layer, and a second information layer, wherein a laser beam is made incident on the optical recording medium from the first substrate side to perform any one of recording and reproducing of information; the first information layer contains at least a first dye-containing recording layer and a first reflective layer; the second information layer contains at least a second dye-containing recording layer and a second reflective layer; the first reflective layer contains an alloy of any one of Au, Ag, and Cu with at least one selected from Au, Ag, Cu, Al, Ti, V, Cr, Ni, Nd, Mg, Pd, Zr, Pt, Ta, W, Si, Zn, and In; and the first information layer has a light transmission factor of 15% to 60% and a reflectance of 15% to 50%.

    摘要: The object of the present invention is to provide a single-sided double-layer recording/reproducing optical recording medium, wherein favorable recording signal properties may be obtained even from the second recording layer. An optical recording layer comprises, layered in the order from the recording/reproducing light incident plane, a first substrate, a first recording layer comprising an organic dye as a main component, a first reflective layer, a bonding layer, an inorganic protective layer, a second recording layer comprising an organic dye as a main component, a second reflective layer and a second substrate and permits recording/reproducing by a red laser beam, wherein the optical recording medium is characterized by the depth of guide grooves formed in the second substrate which is in any one of the ranges from 200 Å to 600 Å and from 1,900 Å to 2,700 Å.
