摘要:
An input device for an injection molding machine is constructed with an input touch panel fitted over a display screen. The input touch panel is formed greater than the display screen. A panel extension portion of the input touch panel is located outside of the display screen. At least one key portion having at least one specific key is displayed on the panel extension portion. By this arrangement, no separate switch panel, such as a membrane sheet switch, is necessary and all inputs can be made by touch operation.

An injection molding system includes a program control section installed outside injection molding machines. The program control section includes a program file section that stores a plurality of different programs in the form of files, and a program transfer section that selects a computer program from the program file section and transfers the selected computer program to the controller of an arbitrary injection molding machine when the arbitrary injection molding machine is operated. Only when an injection molding machine is operated, a program (control program) for operating the injection molding machine is selected from the program file section of the program control section, and the thus-selected program is transferred to the corresponding controller by the program transfer section.

A controller for a molding machine is capable of easily setting control data without considering the speed-control area and the pressure-control area. To achieve the object, the controller comprises: an input unit for inputting speed of a movable section of the molding machine with respect to positions thereof and time, and resin pressure; a memory for storing data, which include the speed of the movable section and the resin pressure inputted; and a control unit for controlling the speed of the movable section and the resin pressure on the basis of the data stored in the memory. In the controller, the speed and the pressure can be inputted independently, and proper control data, which match molding conditions, can be defined easily.

A bearing mechanism having a sleeve including at an inner circumferential surface thereof a first bearing surface and a relief portion including a diameter greater than that of the first bearing surface is used in a spindle motor. An axial length of the first bearing surface is between approximately 1.2 mm and 1.8 mm. By virtue of such configuration, characteristics of the spindle motor are improved and an operating life of the spindle motor is extended.

The dynamic pressure bearing device is structured such that the pores of porous material as they are are disposed in the surfaces thereof forming the negative pressure cancel portions 15b and a lubricating fluid is supplied to the negative pressure generating areas thereof through the pores of the negative pressure cancel portions 15b, whereby, even if recess-shaped grooves forming the negative pressure cancel portions 15b are formed shallow in depth and wide in width, or even if such grooves themselves are not formed at all, the dynamic pressure bearing device is able to fulfill its negative pressure cancel function in a sufficient manner. This makes it possible to eliminate the need for provision of the conventional recess-shaped grooves which are formed deep and narrow, thereby eliminating the need to execute an expensive operation such as a cutting operation or the like, so that the negative pressure cancel portions 15b can be formed at a low cost by inexpensive means such as by molding or the like.

In a method of controlling an accumulator connected to an oil hydraulic circuit of an injection molding machine, a charge start point and a charge end point for the accumulator are set for each of molding cycles or for each of step divisions constituting a single molding cycle. During molding, control is performed such that the charge start point and the charge end point are synchronized with each molding cycle. Thus, pressures in the respective steps of each molding cycle become constant (stable) among molding cycles.

A control system is applicable for an injection molding machine which has a temperature setting function and display function. The control system includes a temperature scale/unit setting function for selecting a temperature setting and a displaying mode which changes a data display between a Centigrade mode (where a temperature setting device and temperature on the display are performed in Centigrade) and a Fahrenheit mode. The control system also includes a display switching function for temporarily switching the display mode to a mode different from the current temperature setting mode as set by the temperature scale/unit setting function and a display mode restoring function for switching the temporarily switched display mode to the original display mode.

A temperature control unit for an injection molding machine having a control thermostat capable of detecting the temperature of a fluid flowing out of dies, wherein plural injection unit thermostats are coupled to the control thermostat. A heating/cooling dual control thermostat is provided for detecting the temperature of the fluid flowing into the dies and the heating/cooling dual control thermostat is coupled to the control thermostat in a cascade connection, whereby an injection unit temperature control system and a die temperature control system are connected via a communication line. The resulting temperature control unit has a simplified construction for temperature control and has reduced cost, while improving operability and maneuverability thereof. By cascade-controlling the die temperature, highly stabilized temperature control may be realized.

A method of setting molding conditions for an injection molding machine 1 using a mold 2 whose specifications data are unclear included three setting processes. In the first setting process A, by inputting known data into controller 3, the molding conditions based on a data base prepared in advance and said input known data are set. In the second setting process B, injection molding is performed according to prescribed molding conditions pre-selected concerning injection pressure P, injection speed V and the injection start position of screw 4, and then, based on the product just molded, injection pressure P is altered, to set said altered injection pressure P, injection speed V and proper pre-feed measurement value Md as molding conditions. In the third setting process C, injection molding is performed according to molding conditions obtained from said second setting process B, and subsequently, taking into account the findings from the product just molded, said molding conditions are adjusted. In this manner, even an unskilled operator is allowed to undertake setting molding conditions reliably and with great ease for an injection molding machine loaded with a set of molds whose specifications data are unclear.
