摘要: An ink ribbon cartridge has an ink ribbon and a ribbon casing accommodating the ink ribbon therein and defining in a part thereof an ink ribbon exposure opening. A film defining a printing opening therethrough is fixed at lengthwise opposite ends thereof on the ribbon casing by two supports, respectively, while covering the exposure opening. At least one of the two supports is movable along the length of the film.

摘要: A cassette holder assembly includes a first cassette holder for detachably attaching a first ink ribbon cassette at a position that the ink ribbon is supplied to a printing face of a print head, and a second cassette holder detachably mounted on the first cassette holder when the first ink ribbon cassette is detached from the first cassette holder and provided with a ribbon shifting mechanism for shifting the ink ribbon of a second ink ribbon cassette with respect to the printing face of the print head. In accordance, the cassette holders can be replaced easily by an operator, and the printer can be used effectively.

摘要: An ink ribbon cassette containing an endless ink ribbon (1) and replenishing ink to be supplied to said ink ribbon (1), and intends to stabilize PCS at an early stage of printing. For attaining the purpose, provided is an auxiliary ink supplying member (16, 32 and 42) to be brought into contact with the forward end of an ink supplier (10) for supplying ink in an ink occluding body (11) to a follower gear (7). The auxiliary ink supplying member (16, 32 and 42) is impregnated beforehand with ink to be supplied to the follower gear (7) at an early stage of printing.

摘要: A paper-transporting apparatus is used for transporting recording paper. A paper-transporting device is movable between a loading position where the paper-transporting unit has been completely attached into a chassis and an unloading position where the paper-transporting unit has been completely drawn out of the chassis. A guide member that supports the paper-transporting device and guides the paper-transporting device between the loading position and the unloading position. The paper-transporting device has a cover and a frame that cooperate with each other to form a paper path in which a recording paper is advanced. When the paper-transporting device is at the loading position, a positioning device holds the cover at a certain position with respect to the frame. When the paper-transporting device is at the unloading position, the positioning device does not hold the cover at the certain position with respect to the frame.

摘要: A medium transporting apparatus transports a medium along a predetermined transport path. A medium-transporting section is movable between a loading position and an unloading position and has a first transport path. A medium-holding section is movable between the loading position and the unloading position, holds a stack of medium therein, and has a second transport path continuous to the first transport path. A first locking mechanism locks the medium-transporting section to the loading position and unlocks the medium-transporting section from the loading position. A coupling mechanism brings the medium-transporting section and the medium-holding section into coupled engagement with each other and brings the medium-transporting section and the medium-holding section out of coupled engagement with each other. When the first locking mechanism unlocks the medium-transporting section from the loading position, the coupling mechanism brings the medium-transporting section and the medium-holding section into coupled engagement with each other.
