摘要： A grating surface of a diffraction grating diffracts a laser beam emitted from a semiconductor laser device in ±1st order directions. The grating surface is formed in a rectangular or elliptic shape in such dimensions that a light spot formed on an objective lens by ±1st order diffracted beams is located in an aperture of the objective lens and not displaced from the aperture even if the objective lens is horizontally moved in a tracking operation. A grating surface of another diffraction grating has a width smaller than the width of an overlap region of a light spot on the diffraction grating corresponding to a part of a beam, diffracted in the +1st direction, entering an objective lens and a light spot on the diffraction grating corresponding to a part of a beam, diffracted in the −1st direction, entering the objective lens.

摘要： For page data containing shadow-casting objects, trap graphics are generated according to the following procedure. First, an ID drawing process is performed for all objects within a page, and based on the process result, a related graphic list indicating relative positional relationships between the objects is generated. Thereafter, an ID drawing process is performed for all objects in the area of each shadow-casting object, excluding the shadow-casting object. The result of the ID drawing process in the shadow-casting object area is reflected in the related graphic list, and thereafter, trap graphics are generated based on settings information in the related graphic list.

摘要： In trapping process of a multicolor image, an adjacent vector between an objective figure and a relative figure at an upper side is specified first. Then, with the use of the contour of the objective figure except for this adjacent vector, an adjacent vector between the objective figure and a lower relative figure is extracted. This enables to extract, as an adjacent vector, only the portion at which the color of the objective figure and the color of the lower related figure are adjacent each other in appearance. Therefore, the trapping process is executable without generating any unwanted color component on the image.

摘要： First and second photodiodes are arranged on the upper surface of a stem, returned light beams diffracted in the + 1st order by a transmission type holographic optical element are received by the first photodiode, while returned light beams diffracted in the − 1st order are received by the second photodiode. The first photodiode has a plurality of light receiving regions, and respectively outputs a reproducing signal, a focus error signal and a tracking error signal on the basis of the returned light beams. On the other hand, the second photodiode has a single light receiving region, and outputs a reproducing signal on the basis of the returned light beams.

摘要： Toy top spinner which uses a toy top body as a spinning wheel to accelerate the spinning speed of the spinning wheel easily, and an adapter used with the spinner to spin toy tops having slightly different diameters. The spinner has its body equipped with a brake in addition to the spinning wheel. The rotor is formed with hook means. Between the spinning wheel and the rotor, there is interposed a gear train which is equipped with an idle gear. The brake includes a braking member and a braked member mounted on the axle of the rotor. The adapter device can be removably mounted on the rotor and has its body formed with a hook member inside of the hook means of the rotor.

摘要： A toy top which can also be used as a badge, and a drive unit which can mechanically spin the toy top with ease in a simple manner. The toy top has first engaging portions on the upper surface of the main body thereof, a first hook portion on the outer periphery thereof and a central spindle about which a knob is removably screw-fitted. The toy top comprises a main body having first engaging portions, a first hook portion and a central spindle screw-fitted with a knob while the drive unit comprises a rotatable member having second engaging portions to engage the first engaging portions of the toy top, a spring for rotating the rotatable member, a second hook portion to engage the second hook portion of the toy top and operating member for releasing the engagement of the second hook portion with the first hook portion of the toy top. Further, some modifications of the structures of the toy top and the drive unit are also disclosed. Where the toy top is used as a badge, the knob fitted on the central spindle of the main body of the toy top is first removed and after passing the spindle through the user's clothing, the knob is fitted again on the spindle.

Specifically, trapping process is executed when in a portion where a plurality of figures constituting an image overlap, the plate color value of a relatively lower figure is erased or overwritten. This enables to execute trapping process only when there is the danger that a gap occurs in a boundary portion where different two colors are adjacent each other.
