摘要: Coal is properly dried and the efficiency of a boiler is increased while suppressing any reduction in efficiency of the boiler and the generation of hydrocarbon gas components. Employed are a coal dryer that dries coal, a boiler in which the coal that is dried in the coal dryer is mixed with air for combustion and burned, an air heater that heats the air for combustion that is supplied to the boiler using combustion exhaust gas discharged from the boiler, a precipitator that collects dust included in the combustion exhaust gas, a desulfurization plant that performs a desulfurization process on the combustion exhaust gas, and heat recovery equipment that heats a heating medium using the combustion exhaust gas. The coal dryer dries the coal using the heat energy of the heating medium that has been heated in the heat recovery equipment.

摘要: The present invention relates to a process for the treatment of arsenic-containing sludge obtained by adjusting arsenic-containing waste water to a PH of 12 or greater by the addition of a calcium compound and subjecting the waste water to solid-liquid separation, the process comprising the steps of adding a calcium compound to the arsenic-containing sludge slurry obtained by the solid-liquid separation, dewatering the resulting sludge, drying the dewatered sludge, and calcining the dried sludge. According to the present invention, arsenic-containing sludge obtained by treating waste water to precipitate arsenic present therein can be calcined to yield a calcined product which involves no risk of arsenic redissolution when it is dumped. Moreover, there is no possibility that arsenic compounds may be volatilized during calcination.

摘要: A thermal transfer recording medium where a fusion thermal ink layer is formed on one side of a support and a heat-resistant sliding layer is formed on the other side of the support. The heat-resistant sliding layer is comprised of silicone copolymer having functional groups and isocyanate compound, and the ratio of the silicone copolymer having functional groups to isocyanate compound is within a range of 70:30 to 50:50 by weight. It is preferred that the functional groups include carboxyl groups and the silicone copolymer include polyorganosiloxane graft polymer whose main chain is vinyl copolymer. In addition, the amount of silicon in the silicone copolymer is within a range of 30 to 50%, the acid value of the silicone copolymer is within a range of 50 to 70 mg/KOH. On the other hand, polyisocyanate having three or more functional groups is used for the isocyanate compound; for example, an adduct of xylylene di-isocyanate having two functional groups and trimethylolpropane is used.
