The presence and concentration of the chemical marker of general formula (I) in the composition of the petroleum hydrocarbon can be advantageously determined by laser ionization coupled with mass spectrometry or by laser ionization coupled with ion mobility spectrometry.-

摘要: A method for producing a motor fuel includes telomerizing ethylene and an alcohol mixture comprising ethanol under suitable conditions to form a mixture comprising C5-C8 alcohols; dehydrating the mixture comprising the C5-C8 alcohols to form a mixture comprising C5-C8 olefins; oligomerizing the C5-C8 olefins to form C10-C24 olefins; hydrogenating the C10-C24 olefins to form C10-C24 paraffins; and isolating a fraction of the C10-C24 paraffins. The isolated fraction may be used to form a motor fuel selected from gasoline, kerosene, diesel, and mixtures thereof.

摘要: Disclosed is a hydrocarbon composition containing isomerized paraffins having specific cut-off points in a distillation curve, a density from 768.0 to 772.0 kg/m3, a freezing point of equal to or lower than −40° C., and an amount of isomerized paraffins of over 90 wt-% as calculated from total paraffinic content of the hydrocarbon composition. The hydrocarbon composition can be used in combination with a fuel or fuel component, especially a jet fuel. Disclosed is also a method to produce a hydrocarbon composition. The isomerized paraffins in the hydrocarbon composition can be from a renewable source.

摘要: Disclosed herein are processes and systems that utilize olefin cross metathesis of triglycerides to produce jet fuel such as hydrocarbons with carbons numbers from C9 to C16. Jet range hydrocarbons may include paraffins, naphthenes, and aromatics with carbon numbers from 9 to 16 (C9-C16), and isomers thereof. The process described herein is versatile and may be suitable for producing jet range hydrocarbons from many different grades and sources of triglycerides. Further, the process described herein may be selective to jet range hydrocarbons which may result in increased yield as compared to hydrocracking or other processes for producing jet range hydrocarbons from triglycerides.

Natural gas condensate fractions derived from a natural gas condensate with sufficiently low API gravity can provide a source of low sulfur, low pour point blend stock for formation of marine diesel and/or fuel oil fractions. Natural gas condensate fractions can provide these advantages and/or other advantages without requiring prior hydroprocessing and/or cracking.

摘要: A bio-reforming reactor receives biomass to generate chemical grade syngas for a coupled downstream train of any of 1) a methanol-synthesis-reactor train, 2) a methanol-to-gasoline reactor train, and 3) a high-temperature Fischer-Tropsch reactor train, that use this syngas derived from the biomass in the bio-reforming reactor. A renewable carbon content of the produced gasoline, jet fuel, and/or diesel derived from the coupled downstream trains of any of 1) the methanol-synthesis-reactor train, 2) the methanol-to-gasoline reactor train, or 3) the high-temperature Fischer-Tropsch reactor train are optimized for recovery of renewable carbon content to produce fuel products with 100% biogenic carbon content and/or fuel products with 50-100% biogenic carbon content. A carbon-dioxide gas feedback loop cooperates with a CO2 separation unit to supply a fraction of the CO2 gas that is removed from the chemical grade syngas produced from the reactor output of the BRR to supply extracted CO2 gas to the biomass feed system.

摘要: A method providing for the selective hydroprocessing of cracked naphtha feedstock to make blending components for low-sulfur gasoline and either ultra-low sulfur diesel or ultra-low sulfur jet fuel. The method includes the use of two catalytic distillation stages in combination with three stripping columns and two fixed-bed reactors integrated in a novel arrangement so as to provide for the treatment of cracked naphtha feedstock that has a high sulfur concentration to yield exceptionally low-sulfur light cracked naphtha and heavy cracked naphtha products and low-sulfur diesel or jet fuel. The desulfurized light and heavy cracked naphtha are produced with a minimal amount of hydrogenation of the olefin content and may suitably be used as gasoline, jet fuel, and diesel blending components.

摘要: Processes for producing jet-range hydrocarbons includes splitting a renewable olefin feedstock comprising C3 to C8 olefins into a plurality of streams and passing each stream to an oligomerization reactor containing a zeolite catalyst to produce an oligomerized effluent. The reactors may be arranged in series, such that an oligomerized effluent comprises a diluent for a downstream reactor. The net oligomerized effluent may be separated and a heavy olefin stream comprising C8+ olefins may be hydrogenated and separated to provide a distillate range hydrocarbon product.
