Abstract: Biosolids conversion systems and methods are provided. Wastewater may be received and separated into a separated water component and a dewatered solids component on-site at or near a wastewater source. The separated water components may be treated on-site using an ancillary water treatment process. The dewatered solids may be converted to a biosolid with aid of one or more oxidizers and a blending chamber. The dewatered solids may be converted to a biosolid on-site at or near a wastewater source or may be converted to a biosolid off-site at a central solids processing facility.

Abstract: The present disclosure discloses a sludge composite conditioner based on iron-containing sludge pyrolysis residue as well as a preparation method and use thereof. The sludge composite conditioner comprises iron-containing sludge pyrolysis residue and an oxidant used in combination with the iron-containing sludge pyrolysis residue, in which the iron-containing sludge pyrolysis residue is pyrolysis residue obtained by dewatering iron-containing sludge to obtain an iron-containing sludge cake and then pyrolyzing the iron-containing sludge cake, the iron-containing sludge being obtained from an advanced oxidation technology involving an iron-containing reagent. In the present disclosure, through improvements of the subsequent overall treatment process, the reuse mode and specific reaction condition parameters of the respective subsequent treatment process steps of the iron-containing sludge cake, the problem of sludge cake treatment and disposal at the end of the existing sludge treatment and disposal technology can be effectively solved compared with the prior art, and then the iron-containing sludge cake is utilized to form a composite conditioner for deep dewatering of sludge, which is recycled as a sludge conditioner for sludge treatment, thereby realizing the full utilization of resources.

Abstract: A process of separating a suspension of particulate solids dispersed in an aqueous liquid into a liquid portion and a solids portion by transferring the suspension by flowing it to a deposition area, subjecting the suspension to a treatment system during the transfer, and at the deposition area allowing the suspension to separate into the liquid portion and the solids portion, in which the treatment system contains (a) a water soluble polymer; and (b) a chemical agent selected from at least one of an oxidising agent, a reducing agent, and/or a free radical agent. The treatment system enables a solids portion to be deposited and formed by an initial rigidification of the solids accompanied by an initial release of fluid, followed by a further consolidation of the rigidified solids with the further release of liquid.

Abstract: A method for recycling organic waste material containing phosphorus oxides and metal oxides is particularly suited for recycling sewage sludge. The waste materials are mixed with chlorine carriers and then heat-treated at an air ratio of 0.85≦λ≦1.6 and at least partially oxidized. The metal chlorides thus formed are drawn off and recovered and the fraction remaining after the metal chlorides have been drawn off is subjected to reduction in order to obtain elemental phosphorus.
