    摘要: In case resolution is set to 360 dpi, each dot is formed on each printing line provided orthogonally to conveying direction at intervals obtained by dividing an inch on a surface tape by 360 lines. Contrarily, in case resolution is set to 180 dpi, each dot array is formed to occupy two printing lines. In case a control unit judges that the number of dot-array-formed printing lines from start of printing till temporary stop of printing with 180 dpi is not equal to that of dot-array-formed printing lines with 360 dpi, a portion of serial arrays of dots to be formed from start of printing till temporary stop of printing with 180 dpi is formed with 360 dpi so that the number of dot-array-formed printing lines from start of printing till temporary stop of printing is made equal to that of dot-array-formed printing lines in printing with 360 dpi.

A CPU of computer equipment performs a template data create process by an editor with a display, a keyboard and the like, and selects a model name of a tape printer displayed in a transfer destination selection field as a transfer destination, when a transfer command is issued. After the selection, the CPU creates print data composed of block information included in the template data and text data, and then shows error message in the display if at least one value of block height data is smaller than that of the height of the minimum font size stored in the tape printer as the transfer destination, based on the block information of the print data.

    摘要: This invention relates to a printing apparatus and a conveyance control method capable of allowing even an arrangement having a plurality of conveyance rollers in a printing medium conveyance path to accurately control conveyance of a printing medium. According to this invention, a first encoder detects a conveyance amount by a first conveyance roller, provided in a conveyance path, for conveying a printing medium. A second encoder detects a conveyance amount by a second conveyance roller provided in the conveyance path in the conveyance direction of the printing medium at the downstream side of the first conveyance roller for conveying the printing medium. On the other hand, a signal output from the first or second encoder is selected on the basis of the position of the printing medium on the conveyance path. Conveyance of the printing medium is controlled on the basis of the selected output signal.
