    摘要: A holographic recording and reproducing apparatus is provided. The holographic recording and reproducing apparatus includes a signal-beam spatial light modulating unit that displays a signal beam pattern for a signal beam, a reference-beam spatial light modulating unit that displays a reference beam pattern for a reference beam, and a controller that controls the mode of the signal beam pattern and that of the reference beam pattern. The controller controls the modes of at least two signal beam patterns and the modes of at least two reference beam patterns. A first reference beam is made to interfere with a first signal beam based on first recording data to record the data as a first hologram in a predetermined area of the holographic recording medium. A second reference beam is made to interfere with a second signal beam based on second recording data to record the data as a second hologram such that the second hologram is superimposed on the first hologram.

The holographic reconstruction apparatus reconstructs recording data recorded on a holographic recording medium from diffracted light generated by emitting reference light from a laser light source to the holographic recording medium. The apparatus includes a spatial light modulator applying spatial modulation on a light beam to form a predetermined reference light pattern for generating the reference light; an array optical detector detecting the luminance of a reconstructed image generated by the diffracted light and generating reconstruction data based on the luminance; and a controller controlling the spatial light modulator to form, as the predetermined reference light pattern, a first reference light pattern and a second reference light pattern, which is a reversal of the first reference light pattern, and reconstructing the recording data on the basis of after-calculation reconstruction data according to a difference between first and second reconstruction data based on the first and second reference light patterns.

    摘要: In a reproducing apparatus adapted to reproduce data recorded on a holographic recording medium, a reference light generator generates reference light for illuminating the holographic recording medium, and a coherent light generator generates coherent light having an intensity greater than the absolute value of a minimum amplitude of a reproduced image and having a phase equal to the phase of the reproduced image. An image signal acquisition unit senses the reproduced image produced by illuminating the holographic recording medium with the reference light and the coherent light, and acquires an image signal based on the reproduced image. A square root calculation unit calculates the square root of each of values constituting the image signal. A removal unit removes the component of the coherent light from the calculated square root, whereby the data recorded on the holographic recording medium is correctly reproduced.
