    摘要: There is disclosed a method for the crystallization of benzphetamine hydrochloride from an organic medium by the steps of removing water from the system to a very low level and then reducing the temperature of the organic medium to provide crystallization of the acid salt. In the event that crystallization does not occur upon lowering the temperature of the medium, it has been discovered that gentle heating of the organic medium results in crystallization of the acid salt. It has also been discovered that higher temperature crystallization has been provided by removal of methamphetamine from the composition. The crystalline benzphetamine hydrochloride can then be isolated by typical liquid/solid separation means such as filtration or centrifugation.

    摘要: There is disclosed novel cross linked polyanhydroaspartic acid which is the product of the reaction of a polysuccinidmide with triaminononoane (TAN). Depending upon the amount a cross linking agent employed compositions of varying degrees of cross linking are produced. Mole ratio of polysuccinimide to TAN such as from 3 to 1 provides a water insoluble material while a mole ratio of 102 to 1 provides a water soluble material at 28% by weight. Such compounds find utility as thickeners, deflocculants, flocculants and water absorbers.

    摘要: This present invention relates to a process for preparing benzylated amines by the reaction of an amine selected from methamphetamine and propylhexedrine with benzyl halide. Numerous improvements are obtained by employing the amine in molar excess with respect to benzyl halide, preferably in a molar ratio of 2 to 1. The excess amine is employed to selectively neutralize by-product acid as the amine salt. The amine salt is then separated from the reaction mixture and basified to reclaim starting amine for recycle to the process.
