摘要: Systems, methodologies, media, and other embodiments associated with clearing silicate based kogation from heating resistors employed in ink jet printing are described. One exemplary system embodiment includes a silicate kogation clearing logic configured to pulse the heating resistor at a high frequency and low pulse width to heat the resistor surface to a temperature below that required to form an ink bubble and thus below that required to eject a drop of ink. Heating the resistor facilitates breaking bonds between the silicate based kogation and the heating resistor.

摘要: An apparatus, including a plurality of devices, a network operations center (NOC), and a plurality of control nodes. Each of the plurality of devices consumes a portion of the resource when turned on, and performs a corresponding function within an acceptable operational margin by cycling on and off. The NOC is disposed external to the facility, and generates a plurality of run time schedules that coordinates run times for the each of the plurality of devices to control the peak demand of the resource. Each of the plurality of control nodes is coupled to a corresponding one of the plurality of devices. The plurality of control nodes transmits sensor data and device status to the NOC via the demand coordination network for generation of the plurality of run time schedules, and executes selected ones of the run time schedules to cycle the plurality of devices on and off.

摘要: Methods and systems herein provide for determining lighting contributions of light fixtures to an environment. In one embodiment, a system includes a light sensor and a controller. The light sensor generates light level data based on measured light levels. The controller determines a nominal light level based on the light level data, and identifies an optical burst pattern in the light level data generated by a light fixture. The controller then determines a lighting contribution of the light fixture based on the optical burst pattern and the nominal light level.

摘要: An apparatus and a method for calibrating a source detection device. The apparatus comprises a detector having a known amplification gain, a count rate meter, a means of measuring peak energy of a detected particle, a means of counting the number of particles detected at a given energy range and a means of comparing the number of particles counted over an energy range with an expected value. The apparatus adjusts the gain to cause the measured spectrum to correspond with an expected spectrum.

摘要: A wirelaying apparatus (2) includes a tool arm (21) with a tool head (22) which carries a wirelaying tool (30). The tool (30) has a cutting tip (31) through which a wire (12) is laid into a working surface (11) of a workpiece (10). The workpiece (10) is retained in a retainer (40) and is moved relative to the wirelaying tool (30). In use, the cutting tip (31) follows along an arcuate path while laying the (10) wire into the working surface (11) of the workpiece (10). Thus, more complex wirelaying configurations are achieved, such as a bi-helical wirelaying pattern in a generally cylindrical pipe fitting or a bi-spiral wirelaying pattern in a semi-cylindrical saddle coupler pipe fitting.

摘要: The invention provides for a continuous air monitor for detecting Alpha emitting radionuclides. The monitor measures and records the energy of each detected Alpha count in one of a plurality of channels and compensates for counts due to the presence of Radon. It does this by carrying out a channel by channel statistical test comparing the measured count in each channel to the expected count due to radon daughter products, and determining if any deviation from the expected count is statistically significant.

摘要: A database management system implemented in a cloud computing environment. Operational nodes are assigned as controller-nodes, compute-nodes or storage-nodes. The number of operational nodes, and their assignment as compute-nodes or storage-nodes can vary. Queries specify tables, with each such table assigned to a respective group of storage nodes. The number of operational nodes executing a given query may change by (a) changing the compute-nodegroup associated with a connection, or (b) adding or removing nodes from the compute-nodegroup; and/or distributing data from the tables among the nodes in a storage nodegroup. State information is maintained for each client connection, and recorded for a given connection, so that subsequent steps from the same connection are executed with the state as left by a prior step, and so that subsequent queries on the same connection are executed with the state as left by the prior query.

Each of the printhead carriages is adapted to print in one or more of the print regions. The system also includes a controller adapted to reconfigure a positioning of the two or more printhead carriages in a configuration selected from a predetermined set of configurations. The controller is adapted to reconfigure the positioning each time a predetermined criterion is satisfied.
