    摘要: An organic electroluminescent device comprises a pair of electrodes, and a layer structure provided between the pair of electrodes and including a charge transport layer capable of transporting electrons or holes and an emission layer comprising a major proportion of an organic material capable of emitting light on application of a voltage thereto via the pair of electrodes. The organic material undergoes concentration quenching and the emission layer has a thickness of 4 nm or below. The emission layer may be made of an electroluminescent organic material, which has a fluorescent lifetime shorter than an organic material present in the charge transport layer.

    摘要: An organic light emitter includes an anode and a cathode. A first layer of organic material includes a light emitting layer. The first layer extends between the anode and the cathode. A second layer has a refractive index higher than a refractive index of the light emitting layer. The second layer is optically coupled to the light emitting layer, causing an optical waveguide which propagates light generated by the light emitting layer along a direction parallel to a surface of a substrate. At least part of the optical waveguide has an effective refractive index which spatially and periodically varies in a direction parallel to the surface of the substrate.

    摘要: A method for fabricating a solid electrolytic capacitor is described, in which a solid electrolyte is made of a conductive polymer layer and is formed on a conductive inorganic layer which is formed on a metallic foil through a dielectric film. For the formation of the conductive polymer layer, while an external electrode is not directly contacted with the conductive inorganic layer, the electrolytic polymerization reaction of a polymerizable monomer in an electrolytic solution is carried out. For this purpose, the external electrode may be covered with a conductive polymer film at the contact portion. Alternatively, the external electrode may be moved from one position to another or may be kept apart from the conductive inorganic layer during the electrolytic polymerization reaction. By this, the mechanical damages of the conductive inorganic layer with the external electrode are suppressed with good electric characteristics of the capacitor.

    摘要: A method for fabricating solid electrolytic capacitors which comprises providing a valve metal foil having a dielectric film and a conductive inorganic film formed on the valve metal foil in this order, contacting an electrode for electrolytic polymerization with part of the valve metal foil wherein the electrode is made of a material incapable of undergoing anodization in an electrolytic polymerization solution, subjecting the valve metal foil to electrolytic polymerization by application of a potential between the electrode and a counter electrode to form a conductive polymer film on the conductive inorganic film, and removing the electrode along with the contacted portion of the valve metal foil. At least one conductive paste film may be formed on the conductive polymer film prior to the removal of the electrode. In addition, an insulating film may be formed on an exposed portion of the valve metal foil after the removal of the electrode. A fabrication method of a capacitor unit having at least two capacitor elements is also described.
