    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method of configuring an integrated resource pool for use in an advanced wireless communication system such as 5G (the Fifth Generation) system. The method comprises configuring a first logical resource pool dedicated for V2X sidelink communication, or open loop communication, in sharing driving related application data including but not being limited to status data, sensor data, and intention data. Further, the method comprises configuring a second logical resource pool dedicated for V2X sidelink communication, or closed-loop communication, in sharing time-sensitive coordination data and/or exchanging time-sensitive coordination data in short distance grouping such as synchronised coordination driving and long distance grouping such as platooning. The method further comprises configuring one primary set of resources and one or more secondary sets of resources from the second logical resource pool for secured intra-platoon communications.

An enhanced HARQ-less transmission technique (20) is employed for delivering DL URLLC data packets to the intended UEs (102).     Abstract: A device-to-device user equipment (D2D-UE) and a method for use by a device-to-device user equipment (D2D-UE) is provided.     Abstract: A system and method of data communication is provided for use in a wireless communication system. The wireless communication system includes a base station, a relay user equipment (UE) and an out of coverage UE (OOC-UE). The method includes receiving, at the relay UE and from the base station, a relay cycle configuration, the relay cycle configuration defining a relay cycle including a first time period for device to device (D2D) communication, and a second time period for cellular communication. The method then includes receiving, at the relay UE by D2D communication, within the first time period and from the out of coverage UE (OOC-UE), relay data, and providing, from the relay UE by cellular communication, within the second time period and to the BS, the relay data.
