An accounting system according to the present invention include: an information display device including a first memory; and at least one first processor coupled to the first memory. The first processor performs first operations. The first operations includes: causing a first camera to image a person, and causes a display to display a code based on physical characteristics peculiar to the imaged person. An information processing device includes a second memory; and at least one second processor coupled to the second memory. The second processor performs second operations. The second operations includes: causing a second camera to image the code displayed by the information display device, acquiring accounting information of the person using the imaged code, and executing accounting processing using the accounting information.

The disclosure is inputting a first image captured an image of an authentication target; inputting a second image captured an image of a right eye or a left eye of the target; determining whether the second image is of a left eye or a right eye of the target based on information including the first image, and outputting a determination result as left/right information in association with the second image; detecting an overlap between a region including the second image and a predetermined region in the first image; calculating a verification score by comparing characteristic information that are related to the left/right information with iris characteristic information calculated from the second image, and calculating a first weighted verification score obtained by weighting the verification score with a detection result; and authenticating a target in the second image based on the first weighted verification score, and outputting an authentication result.

Provided are a system, a method, and the like which contribute to more reliably and smoothly providing information relating to an authentication result to a person who has been subjected to authentication. An information provision system according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: an authentication unit which authenticates an authentication subject, who is to be subjected to authentication, using a captured image of the authentication subject; a determination unit which, in accordance with information about the authentication subject or the conditions of the authentication subject, determines the transmission destination to which information relating to the authentication result is to be transmitted in order to notify the authentication subject of the authentication result; and a transmission unit which transmits the information to the determined transmission destination.

An authentication system according to one aspect of the present disclosure includes: at least one memory storing a set of instructions; and at least one processor configured to execute the set of instructions to: track an object included in a video captured by a first capture device; detect a candidate for biometric authentication in the object being tracked; determine whether biometric authentication has been performed for the candidate based on a record of biometric authentication performed for the object being tracked; and perform the biometric authentication for the candidate based on a video of an authentication part of the candidate when the biometric authentication has not been performed for the candidate, the video of the authentication part being captured by a second capture device having a capture range including a part of a capture range of the first capture device.

In order to properly detect an outbreak of smoke using a photographic image, this detection device is equipped with an extraction unit, a calculation unit, and a detection unit. By using an image analysis result of an input image, that is, a photographic image captured of a scene under surveillance, the extraction unit generates an image for which a noise component is removed from the input image. By using brightness information contained in the generated image, the calculation unit calculates an attenuation factor of reflected light from a captured object in the input image. The detection unit determines whether an outbreak of smoke is present in the scene under surveillance based on the attenuation factor.

The present invention is a spectral image processing method including the steps of selecting observed spectral information from a multispectral image of a scene, generating a constraint on a spectral distribution of an illumination and a constraint on a surface reflectance of an object using a basis vector of the illumination and a basis vector of the surface reflectance, generating an observation equation that takes as parameters a weight coefficient of the basis vector of the illumination and a weight coefficient of the basis vector of the surface reflectance using the observed spectral information, the constraint on the spectral distribution of the illumination, and the constraint on the surface reflectance of the object, and calculating the spectral distribution of the illumination and the surface reflectance of the object of the scene from the observation equation.

The method includes: calculating a pixel statistical value and edge of pixels for each of areas of a multi-layer, the areas each containing a target pixel and having a successively decreased range; correcting the edge based on a pixel statistical value of an area that is wider than a specific area; correcting difference between a pixel statistical value of the specific area and the pixel statistical value of the area that is wider than the specific area using the post-correction edge; correcting the pixel statistical value of the specific area using post-correction difference and the pixel statistical value of the area that is wider than the specific area; and correcting the target pixel by repeating correction of the pixel statistical value of the specific area successively in each area until the area reduces its range from the maximum range to the minimum range.
