The number of mid-ambles is determined according to information in an HE-SIG-A field of the PPDU, information in an L-SIG field of the PPDU, and one or more predetermined values prescribed by a standard. The number of data symbols may be determined using the number of the mid-ambles, and the data received according to the number of mid-ambles and the number of data symbols.

    摘要: A wireless device initiates an Up-Link Trigger Based Multi-User communication by transmitting a trigger frame. The communication may be an Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access communication. The trigger frame includes allocation information for resources of the communication, including Random Access (RA) allocation information. The trigger frame may also include a padding field after the allocation information. A length of the padding field is determined according to an amount of time needed for a station receiving the trigger frame to process the RA allocation information. The amount of time may correspond to a time between an end of a last RA allocation information and an end of a Physical layer Protocol Data Unit including the trigger frame. The amount of time may be determined according to a maximum processing time of stations associated with the wireless device, or may be determined according to a predetermined interval.

    摘要: A wireless communication device in a wireless system may generate a High Efficiency Physical Layer Convergence Procedure (PLCP) Protocol Data Unit (HE PPDU) frame including (i) an Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) symbol including padding bits and (ii) an extension having a non-zero signal strength, and transmit the HE PPDU frame. A High Efficiency signal (HE-SIG) field of the transmitted HE PPDU frame may include an indication for a duration of the extension to avoid ambiguity of the extension. A communication device in a wireless system may receive an HE PPDU frame including (i) an OFDM symbol including padding bits, and (ii) an extension having a non-zero signal strength, and transmit an Acknowledgement frame a predetermined inter-frame space after an end of the HE PPDU frame. An HE-SIG field of the received HE PPDU may include an indication for duration of the extension to avoid ambiguity of the extension.

    摘要: A method and system to improve backoff counter handling with relation to a clear channel assessment (CCA) process. The method and system improve a wireless medium availability by adjusting the backoff counter such that the processing of a preamble of a frame received during a backoff is taken into account. Received frames that fall between two CCA thresholds may require decoding of information in the preamble to assess whether the wireless medium is available. A portion of the preamble is decoded that identifies information utilized to determine whether the wireless medium may be considered to be busy. However, during this determination that requires the reading of the preamble of a received frame the backoff counter may be held or decremented even though the wireless medium status is unknown. The method and system provide a set of possible adjustments to the backoff counter to account for this uncertainty and the outcome of the CCA.

    摘要: In wireless communications, an access point may send a first frame and a second frame to multiple stations. In one aspect, the first frame may be a frame for initiating a sounding protocol. The first frame may include subband-related information. In response to the first and second frames, one or more stations may generate beamforming feedback information based on content of the second frame according to the subband-related information of the first frame. The beamforming feedback information may include average signal-to-noise ratios (SNRs), where an SNR may be for a space-time stream averaged over data subcarriers in a subband. The stations may send a third frame(s) that includes the beamforming feedback information to the access point. The access point may generate, and transmit to the stations, a beamforming matrix based on the third frame(s). Other methods, apparatus, and computer-readable media are also disclosed.
