In the limiting pipe hollow areas are available for evacuation. Fitted inside the limiting pipe are at least two transversely to their longitudinal direction undulated metal pipes for guiding the frozen medium, which are each surrounded by a thermal insulation. During the operation of the pipeline the frozen medium is led in different directions through both the metal pipes. Attached around both the metal pipes and the cooling pipe is a pipe shaped closed sleeve composed of a thermally good conductive material that is in contact with the cooling pipe.

That over the entire length of the pipeline around the guide tube (1) is wound at least one undulated cooling pipe (4) of metal which has a significantly smaller outer diameter than the guide tube (1) and forms a cooling space for conducting the outer frozen medium therethrough. That circumferentially over the entire length around the unit of the guide tube (1) and the cooling tube (4), a layer (5) is applied which serves as a super insulation and has at least one layer of reflecting foil.

Specified is an arrangement for supplying power to a motor vehicle which is equipped with an electric motor and in which there is arranged at least one rechargeable electric battery to which the electric motor is connected. The arrangement includes a stationary charging station which is equipped with an electric power source and to which an electric line having at least two mutually insulated electrical conductors is connected, a part of an electrical coupling for connecting to a complementary coupling part present on or in the motor vehicle being attached to the free ends of said electrical conductors, said coupling part being connected to the battery in an electrically conductive manner. The electric line is surrounded along its entire axial length by a thermally insulated and flexible tube made of metal which is closed all around and which, in addition to the line, encloses a cavity along its entire axial length. A flowable medium refrigerated to a temperature of at least −160° C. is contained in the space enclosed by the tube, and a thermally insulated storage tank containing a store of the refrigerated medium is arranged in the charging station, the tube being connected to said storage tank.

Said two ends for producing a fully closed tube are welded to one another by use of a welding installation that is equipped with a laser. The slot tube after leaving the forming station is initially moved into the region of the laser and is then stopped. Thereafter, the regions of the edges of the slot tube that are to be welded to one another are pre-treated by the laser. Thereafter, the power of the laser is set to the welding power thereof that corresponds to the welding temperature, and by switching on the drawing-off installation the slot tube is simultaneously moved in the longitudinal direction of the latter.
