Abstract: Provided is a method for producing a molten aluminum-plated steel wire in which a steel wire (2) is immersed in a molten aluminum plating bath (1), the resulting molten aluminum-plated steel wire (3) is subsequently pulled up from the molten aluminum plating bath (1) and a stabilizing member (11) is brought into contact with the bath surface (10) of the molten aluminum plating bath (1) and the molten aluminum-plated steel wire (3) at the boundary between the molten aluminum-plated steel wire (3) and the bath surface (10) of the molten aluminum plating bath (1), a nozzle (12) for blowing an inert gas is arranged in a position facing the stabilizing member (11) with the molten aluminum-plated steel wire (3) therebetween, and an inert gas is blown from the tip (12a) of the nozzle (12) toward the boundary at a pressure of 0.1-20 kPa.

Abstract: A crimp terminal includes an F-type crimp portion and a C-type crimp portion. The F-type crimp portion has first and second barrel tabs, preferably with an identical length, for crimping a tip end of a complex stranded wire. The F-type crimp portion is adapted to have distal ends of the first and second barrel tabs put together and pushed into the tip end of the complex stranded wire to be crimped. The C-type crimp portion has a third barrel tab for crimping the complex stranded wire. The third barrel tab is wound in a C-form on an outer periphery of the complex stranded wire to be crimped. The arrangement provides a crimp terminal and an electric wire with crimp terminal, that prevents or reduces increases in retained resistance at a crimp portion, and can also prevent an electric wire from slipping out of a crimp terminal.

This composite twisted wire is reduced in weight, while exhibiting excellent tensile strength and excellent long-term stability with respect to electrical resistance. Consequently, this composite twisted wire is suitable, for example, for use as a wire harness of automobiles.

Abstract: A production method for molten-aluminum-plated steel wire, the production method being characterized in that a steel wire (2) immersion part (6) at which the steel wire (2) is to be immersed in a molten aluminum plating bath (1) is immersed in the molten aluminum plating bath (1) after the steel wire (2) has been passed into a steel wire introduction device (7) while an immersion region (9a) thereof has been immersed in the molten aluminum plating bath (1). The steel wire introduction device (7) comprises a tube-shaped body (9), which has a total length of 10 to 1000 mm and has a through hole (8) that is for passing the steel wire (2) through the inside thereof, and includes the immersion region (9a), which is for immersion in the molten aluminum plating bath (1) to a length of 2 mm to 400 mm from an end part of one end of the tube-shaped body (9) along the long direction of the tube-shaped body (9). The ratio of the area of the opening of the through hole (8) and the area of a horizontal cross-section of the steel wire (2) (the area of the opening of the through-hole (8) of the tube-shaped body (9)/the area of the horizontal cross-section of the steel wire (2)) is 3 to 4000.

The Al plated steel wire is then wound.
