Abstract:
Various communication systems may benefit from techniques and systems for resource allocation. For example, communication systems of the third generation partnership project may benefit from device to device discovery resource allocation methods and systems. A method can include determining that downlink data transmission may cause conflict between uplink control channel transmission and device to device discovery signal transmissions or that uplink shared channel transmissions may conflict with device to device discovery signal transmissions; and requesting a user equipment to report device to device discovery needs based on the determining.
Abstract:
Various communication systems may benefit from inter-operator device-to-device operation. For example, communication systems of the third generation partnership project (3GPP) long term evolution (LTE) advanced (LTE-A) release12/13 (Rel-12/13) or future releases may use such operation with respect to D2D communications. A method can include preparing, at a network element operated by an operator, radio resource information related to one or more operators other than the operator. The method can also include broadcasting, by the network element, the radio resource information. The radio resource information can be configured to permit a user equipment served by the network element to perform device-to-device discovery and/or communication with another user equipment served by at least one of the one or more operators.
Abstract:
Various embodiments of the present invention provide a method for cell reselection, comprising: receiving, at a user equipment, system information from a network node that is shared by two or more operator networks, wherein the system information comprises first information associated with at least one operator network related to one or more neighboring cells for the user equipment; determining whether there is an operator network accessible to the user equipment in the at least one operator network, based at least in part on the first information; and performing a cell re-selection procedure only when one or more accessible operator networks are determined.
Abstract:
Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for fair resource sharing among user(s) or user groups in broadcast based D2D communications are provided. One method includes monitoring, by a cluster head, at least one user group sharing physical channel resources. The at least one user group may include at least one D2D user equipment. The method may further include calculating a current share of the physical channel resources for the at least one user group based on pre-configured fair sharing rules, determining when a maximum fair share of the physical channel resources are allocated to one of the at least one user group, determining whether remaining physical resources are sufficient. When the remaining physical resources are sufficient, the method may include issuing an indication to the one of the at least one user group. When the remaining physical resources are not sufficient, the method may include issuing a warning to the one of the at least one user group.
Abstract:
A user equipment receives a first measurement setting for synchronization signal detection, and a second measurement setting for radio resource management measurement. The first measurement setting includes a first gap length and a first measurement gap repetition period, and the second measurement setting includes a second gap length and a second measurement gap repetition period. The user equipment uses the first measurement setting to perform synchronization detection. In response to a small cell being detected, the user equipment provides a feedback indication on an indication channel. The user equipment then performs radio resource management measurement according to the second measurement setting.
Abstract:
Configuration of various radio systems may have a number of possible benefits. For example, small cell configuration may be useful for interference mitigation. A method, in certain embodiments, can include determining a virtual subframe index for a cell. The method can also include communicating the virtual subframe index for the cell by communicating a time division duplex configuration and a relative subframe offset.
