    Abstract: Example embodiments of the present disclosure generally relate to methods, devices, apparatuses and computer readable storage medium for cell reselection requirements with satellite prioritization. The method includes determining at least one first candidate satellite currently available for a neighbor cell measurement; determining at least one target satellite to be measured in the neighbor cell measurement at least based on the number of the at least one first candidate satellite and respective priorities of the at least one first candidate satellite, or at least one second candidate satellite that is becoming available within a first time interval; and performing the neighbor cell measurement on the at least one target satellite.

    Abstract: Apparatus and method for communication in non-terrestrial networks are provided. Downlink transmissions are received (400) from one or more non-terrestrial nodes. Signal strengths and/or signal quality of the transmissions are measured (402) from the one or more non-terrestrial nodes. Transitions between line-of-sight and non-line-of-sight states regarding the one or more non-terrestrial nodes are determined (404). Locations of the one or more non-terrestrial nodes and the apparatus are determined (406) and elevation and azimuth angles to the one or more non-terrestrial nodes from the apparatus are calculated (408). A database of the line-of-sight and non-line-of-sight states is generated (410) as a function of elevation and azimuth angles and apparatus location and utilised (412) to determine expected line-of-sight and non-line-of-sight states for non-terrestrial nodes.

    Abstract: In accordance with example embodiments of the invention there is at least a method an apparatus to perform based on determining an routing point switch in a communication network by a serving base station from a source routing point to a target routing point: creating a pre-compensation transition window for start and end of transition time between an availability of the source routing point and an availability of the target routing point, wherein the creating is starting at a point in time and using a duration of the pre-compensation transition window on at least an uplink transmission with the target routing point and at least a downlink reception from the source routing point; and based on the pre-compensation transition window, performing at least one of time or frequency pre-compensation to accommodate for time differences at the serving base station at least one of during or after the routing point switch and for differences in a propagation path between the source routing point and the target routing point to at least maintain continuity of communication by the apparatus during the start and end of transition time.

    Abstract: A method is provided that includes scheduling transmission of system information blocks (SIBs) including information elements with assistance information for a first aerospace platform, and a separate at least one information element with assistance information for a second aerospace platform. The first aerospace platform and the second aerospace platform are configured to provide respectively a first non-terrestrial network (NTN) cell and a second NTN cell that are quasi-Earth-fixed cells serving a geographic area for limited periods of time. The method also includes causing a user equipment in the first NTN cell to acquire the separate at least one information element with the assistance information for the second aerospace platform, during a period of time the geographic area is served by the first NTN cell, before the geographic area is served by the second NTN cell.
