    Abstract: An apparatus comprising a processor configured to:



    receive an input dataset indicative of radar signals received at a plurality of antenna elements from a plurality of targets;
    define a matrix, Ã, of direction-of-arrival-angle vectors representing an expected response of the radar signals from the target and comprising a function of a direction of arrival angle relative to the antenna elements and including antenna-imperfection-factors that represent the angle dependent effect of antenna imperfections;
    define an objective function based on the input dataset and the matrix;
    search for a set of the direction of arrival angles for each of the plurality of targets by the repeated evaluation of the objective function for a plurality of candidate matrices based on matrix A, wherein said set is derived from one of the candidate matrices of the plurality of candidate matrices that provides a maximum or minimum evaluation of the objective function.

    Abstract: A non-transitory computer-readable medium stores machine instructions that cause a processor to obtain a range-sample-antenna data cube for a received radar signal comprising reflections of a plurality of interleaved chirp sequences. The processor generates, for each chirp sequence, a Hankel matrix based on subset of range bins for the particular chirp sequence, and generates a block Hankel matrix based on the Hankel matrices for the plurality of interleaved chirp sequences. The processor performs truncated singular value decomposition to estimate subspaces, and object detection to identify selection matrices. The processor calculates least-squares approximations for the selection matrices and the block Hankel matrix to obtain, for each chirp sequence, a first phase shift matrix θ11 and a second set of phase shift matrices θ1l, l=2, . . . , L. The processor performs joint diagonalization and Doppler division multiplexing compensation on θ11 and θ1l, l=2, . . . , L, then resolves ambiguities in determined velocities based on comparison of θ11 and θ1l, l=2, . . . , L.

    Abstract: A method includes producing, at a radar sensor, a plurality of radar data points based on radar signal reflections received at the radar sensor. The method further includes, for one or more respective radar data points of the plurality of radar data points, calculating at the radar sensor a data item indicative of a measurement accuracy corresponding to the respective radar data point.     Abstract: Interference cancellation is provided, according to certain aspects, by a filter, a signal detection circuit, synthesis circuitry and signal-generation circuitry. The filter is used to filter an incoming signal having an associated signal-to-noise metric and to output therefrom a filtered signal having an interference attribute of the incoming signal by amplification and/or isolation. The signal detection circuit is used to detect the interference attribute in the filtered signal. The synthesis circuitry is used to synthesize interference in the incoming signal based on the interference attribute. The signal-generation circuitry is used to generate, in response to the synthesized interference in the incoming signal, a filtered version of the incoming signal which provides an improved signal-to-noise metric.
