In the image display system, a low-melting-point wax 18 with a magnetic powder 16 dispersed therein is held between a heat-generation layer 12 and a transparent layer 14 which are disposed spaced apart from one another, and a zone of the low-melting-point wax 18 corresponding to a pixel for image display is selectively heated and molted by the heat-generation layer 12. Then, the magnetic powder 16 in the molten zone is displaced toward the transparent layer 14 so as to display a given image on the transparent layer. The rewritable thin image display sheet, the image display apparatus and the image display system can reliably display an image in a rewritable state while achieving a significantly simplified structure.

    摘要: A graphic image display system allows image data input through a data input apparatus to be displayed precisely. The graphic image display system is also able to display graphic images with satisfactorily high resolution. The graphic image display system according to the present invention comprises a scanning laser beam and a thermal liquid crystal cell. The system further includes a transparent data touch tablet secured to a display screen. Auxiliary laser detectors may be added for reading the image written in the liquid crystal cell. Preferably, a common laser optical system is used to generate the display image and to read the written image.

    摘要: A printing plate material producing concave-convex pattern on the surface with a low laser energy output and having high scratch resistance is provided by formation of a photosensitive layer comprising a nitrocellulose, carbon black or other photoabsorber and a polyurethane elastomer on a support. The nitrocellulose has a nitrogen content of about 11 to 12.5% and a solution viscosity of about 1 to 1/8 second. The polyurethane elastomer is obtainable by allowing a polyester polyol to react with a polyisocyanate and a chain-extending agent. Relative to 100 parts by weight of the polyurethane elastomer, the amount of nitrocellulose is about 5 to 300 parts by weight and that of the photoabsorber is about 0.5 to 50 parts by weight. The photosensitive layer may have a glass transition temperature of not lower than 25.degree. C. The photosensitive layer may further comprise a plasticizer.

    摘要: In a thermal transfer-type printing method in which an image is formed on printing paper by the selective transfer thereto of disperse dye from a dye carrier of flexible sheet material in response to the selective application of thermal energy to the carrier while in contact with a surface of the printing paper, the latter is comprised of a base of cellulose fibers and resin into which the disperse dye diffuses for producing a clear definition of the image. The resin is desirably polyester or acetyl cellulose either in the form of fibers which are co-mingled with the cellulose fibers in the base of the printing paper, or in the form of a coating on a surface of the paper base. After the image has been formed by thermal transfer on a surface of the printing paper, a thin transparent film, preferably of polyester, is laminated over the printed surface by a polyester adhesive and the application of heat and pressure so that recrystallized disperse dye remaining on the surface of the printing paper is further diffused into the polyester adhesive.

    摘要: A magnetic head assembly comprising a deflectable piezo-electric member, such as a bi-morph leaf assembly, adapted for deflection in response to a voltage applied thereto, a magnetic head mounted on one end of the piezo-electric member and a U-shaped holder for the piezo-electric member. The U-shaped holder is formed of resilient material and has a pair of legs whose free ends are spring biased toward each other. The end of the piezo-electric member which is remote from the magnetic head is positioned between and clamped by the spring biased free ends of the legs of the holder. In one embodiment, a voltage is supplied to the piezo-electric member by a pair of plates, each formed of insulating material, with the clamped end of the piezo-electric member sandwiched between these plates, and with conducting member provided on at least one of the plates and in electrical contact with the piezo-electric member.

Radius of the plate cylinder 14, impression cylinder 11, and transfer drum 2 located between units are identical. The plate cylinders 14, 24 and the impression cylinders 11, 21 are arranged so that the lines L1 and L2 are parallel to each other. The grippers 12, 22 are arranged so that the gripper 22 of the impression cylinder 21 is at the point P.sub.21 when the gripper 12 of the impression cylinder 11 is at the point P.sub.11. Thus, a paper sheet transferred from the impression cylinder 11 to the transfer drum 2 at the nearest point P.sub.1 is transferred by the rotation of the transfer drum 2 at the nearest point P.sub.2 by the rotation of the transfer drum 2. Since the phases of the plate cylinders 14 and 24 are in agreement, the doctor blade is stopped at the same relative location for all the units.
