The mechanism draws refrigerant from an intake chamber into a compression chamber and discharges the refrigerant from the compression chamber to the discharge chamber. A seal device prevents leakage of refrigerant from the internal space to the atmosphere between the drive shaft and the housing. An isolation chamber, which is separately formed in the housing, accommodates the seal device. A pressure reducing passage reduces the pressure of the isolation chamber to reduce the pressure difference applied to the seal device.

    摘要: In a single-ended swash plate compressor, unbalanced thrust loads in either axial direction are reduced so that thrust loads acting on pistons in the direction of the front end are practically balanced by those in the direction of the rear end, for example, by connecting an intake chamber to a swash plate chamber by means of an adjustment valve to adjust the pressure in the swash plate chamber acting on the front end surfaces of the pistons to a suitable intermediate pressure by the action of the adjustment valve. In a single-ended swash plate compressor with pistons housed in both ends of a cylinder assembly comprising one set of pistons for guidance and another set for compression, discharge pressure is introduced into some of the cylinder bores housing guide pistons and intake pressure is introduced into the cylinder bores housing guide pistons into which discharge pressure is not introduced.

An axial passage is formed in the drive shaft to connect the suction chamber to the crank chamber. An inlet of the axial passage is closer to the second end portion than the second radial bearing is. An outlet of the axial passage is closer to the second end portion than the first radial bearing is.

The inner O-ring 6 uses a material excellent in mechanical and chemical properties (nitrile rubber), and the outer O-ring 7 uses a material excellent in gas permeation resistance (butyl rubber). The inner O-ring 6 has a greater diameter and the outer O-ring 7 has a smaller diameter.

    摘要: An improved scroll compressor having a movable scroll that orbits without being inclined. The compressor has a fixed scroll formed in the housing. The movable scroll is accommodated in the housing and mates with the fixed scroll. The movable scroll is driven by a drive shaft via a crank mechanism. A flange is formed at the periphery of the movable scroll and lies perpendicular to the drive shaft. A groove is formed in the housing. The groove is slightly wider than the thickness of the flange. The flange is slidably accommodated in the groove. Support holes extend through the flange. A pin is supported in each support hole. The ends of each pin are received in guide holes. Since engagement of the flange and the groove prevents the movable scroll from being inclined, the pin is maintained parallel to the guide holes and follows the wall of the guide holes. As a result, uneven wear of the pins and the guide holes is avoided.
