    摘要: A process for lining a metal pipeline, which process generally utilizes thermoplastic fluoropolymer pipe liner Also, a pipeline system that includes at least two coaxial pipes, an outer metal pipe and inner thermoplastic fluoropolymer pipe. The thermoplastic fluoropolymer pipe/pipe liner is made from a composition that generally includes from 10% to 60% by weight of at least one vinylidene fluoride (VDF) homopolymer, from 40% to 90% by weight of at least one VDF copolymer comprising from 2% to 15% by moles of recurring units derived from at least one other fluorinated comonomer (F), and optionally at least one plasticizer.

    摘要: The present invention pertains to a process for lining a metal pipeline, said process comprising the following steps: (i) processing a thermoplastic fluoropolymer composition to yield a pipe liner having an outer diameter greater than the inner diameter of said metal pipeline, said thermoplastic fluoropolymer composition comprising: (A) from 10% to 60% by weight, on the total weight of polymer (A) and polymer (B) of at least one vinylidene fluoride (VDF) homopolymer [polymer (A)], (B) from 40% to 90% by weight, based on the total weight of polymer (A) and polymer (B) of at least one VDF copolymer comprising from 2% to 15% by moles of recurring units derived from at least one other fluorinated comonomer (F) [polymer (B)], and (ii) deforming said pipe liner, (iii) introducing the deformed pipe liner in said metal pipeline; and (iv) expanding the deformed pipe liner to fit with the inner diameter of said metal pipeline. The present invention also relates to a pipeline system.

    摘要: The invention pertains to a multi-phase thermoplastic fluoropolymer composition, comprising a thermoplastic fluoropolymer and discrete domains of melt-processable perfluoropolymer, to the articles therefrom and to a process for manufacturing thermoplastic fluoropolymer compositions. The multi-phase thermoplastic fluoropolymer composition comprises: —at least one thermoplastic fluoropolymer (A); and —from 0.1 to 10% by weight of (A) of at least one melt-processible perfluoropolymer (B), and is characterized in that the polymer (B) is present in the composition in phase-separated domains in a continuous phase mainly comprising (A), at least 75% by volume of said domains having maximal dimension not exceeding 1 μm. The process of the invention comprises mixing: (i) a thermoplastic fluoropolymer (A); (ii) a melt-processible perfluoropolymer (B) under the form of particles having an average primary particle size not exceeding 300 nm; (iii) and optionally other additives or filling materials.

    摘要: A fluoropolymer composition having a total luminous transmittance (TT) of less than 15%, when measured according to ASTM D1003 on a sample having a thickness of about 50 μm, said composition comprising: at least one hydrogen-containing fluoropolymer [polymer (A)]; from 5 to 80% by weight of (A) of at least one inorganic pigment [pigment (I)]; and from 1 to 99% by weight of (I) of at least one per(halo)fluoropolymer chosen among tetrafluoroethylene (TFE) copolymers having a dynamic viscosity at a shear rate of 1 rad×sec−1 of less than 100 Pa×sec at a temperature of 280° C. [polymer (B)]. By adding polymer (B) to the composition based on polymer (A) it is advantageously possible to obtain an even dispersion of the pigment (I) so that a composition possessing outstanding opacity and still being processable under the form of films, so as to provide adequate mechanical properties, can be manufactured therefrom.
