摘要: Disclosed herein are systems and methods for controlling display objects. Particularly, a body part of a user may move, and the movement detected by a capture device. The capture device may capture images or frames of the body part at different times. Based on the captured frames, velocities of the body part may be determined or at least estimated at the different times. A blend velocity for the body part may be determined based on the different velocities. Particularly, for example, the blend velocity may be an average of the velocities of the body part over a period of time. A display object may then be controlled or moved in accordance with the blend velocity. For example, an avatar's body part may be moved in the same direction as a recent captured frame of the user's body part, and at the blend velocity.

摘要: A system and method is disclosed determining caloric burn via an HCI system. Using a capture device which is able to detect the thickness of a user's arms, legs, torso, etc., the system determines a mass for each of a user's body parts. Thereafter, in one example, the system measures caloric burn for a given body part as a function of how far the body part was displaced, a mass of the body part displaced and gravity.

摘要: Methods and apparatus are described for space charge dosimeters for extremely low power measurements of radiation in shipping containers. A method includes insitu polling a suite of passive integrating ionizing radiation sensors including reading-out dosimetric data from a first passive integrating ionizing radiation sensor and a second passive integrating ionizing radiation sensor, where the first passive integrating ionizing radiation sensor and the second passive integrating ionizing radiation sensor remain situated where the dosimetric data was integrated while reading-out. Another method includes arranging a plurality of ionizing radiation sensors in a spatially dispersed array; determining a relative position of each of the plurality of ionizing radiation sensors to define a volume of interest; collecting ionizing radiation data from at least a subset of the plurality of ionizing radiation sensors; and triggering an alarm condition when a dose level of an ionizing radiation source is calculated to exceed a threshold.

摘要: A backlight is disclosed and includes a visible light transmissive body primarily propagating light by TIR with a light input surface and a light output surface and a light guide portion and a light input portion. The light guide portion has a light reflection surface and a light emission surface. The light input portion has opposing side surfaces that are not parallel. One of the opposing surfaces is co-planar with either the light emission surface or the light reflection surface. A light source is disposed adjacent to the light input surface. The light source emits light into the light input portion. A reflective layer is disposed adjacent to or on the opposing side surfaces.

摘要: A carrier tape includes a longitudinal strip having a plurality of component receiving pockets positioned therein. The pocket depth is greater than a thickness of the longitudinal strip. Adjacent pockets are spaced apart by a distance less than approximately five times the thickness of the longitudinal strip. Sidewalls separating adjacent pockets have a height greater than the pocket depth minus a height of a component which the pockets are configured to receive. The carrier tape is produced by providing a rotatable tool and a nip roll having a conformable outer circumferential surface opposed to the tool. The outer circumferential surface of the tool includes projections for forming the pockets. A polymer web is introduced into a nip between the tool and the nip roll, and embossed with the projections on the circumferential surface of the tool.

摘要: A portable devic for bending and cutting rebar, reinforcing rod, and the like. For cutting, a shaft assembly is movable along a first longitudinal axis (A—A) between a retracted and an extended position. A movable cutting head carried by the shaft assembly coacts with a fixed cutting head to shear rebar disposed between the cutting heads when the shaft assembly is moved to the extended position. For bending, a push rod movable along a second longitudinal axis (C—C) parallel to the first axis (A—A) couples movements of the shaft assembly through a clevis to a crankshaft such that longitudinal movements of the shaft assembly cause rotational movements of the crankshaft about an axis substantially perpendicular to axis (A—A). A first driven wheel, mounted for rotation with the crankshaft, has one or more bending blocks attached to the wheel by a radial arm. Rebar inserted in a gap between the first wheel and a second, idler wheel, is bent by the bending blocks as the wheels rotate in response to movement of the shaft assembly from a retracted to an extended position.

摘要: In one embodiment, a tool used for creating grooves in a microreplication tool is described. The tool includes a mounting structure and a multi-tipped diamond mounted in the mounting structure. The different tips of the diamond may correspond to different grooves to be created in the microreplication tool. In this manner, the creation of a microreplication tool using a diamond can be simplified and/or improved.
