Abstract:
A spark plug is provided which is designed to be compact without sacrificing a mechanical strength of a porcelain insulator. The spark plug includes a metal shell having a base end and a top end. The porcelain insulator is made of a hollow cylinder which includes a body and an insulator head. The body is retained within the metal shell. The insulator head extends from the base end of the metal shell in a lengthwise direction of the porcelain insulator and has a length made up of a major body leading to the body of the porcelain insulator and an end portion lying far away from the body. The major body has an outer diameter D1, an inner diameter D2, and a section modulus Z at a smallest-outer diameter portion thereof which meet relations of 7.1 mm≦D1≦8.8 mm, D2≧2.8 mm, and Z≧33 mm3.

Abstract:
A temperature sensor including a temperature sensitive device which is disposed in a flow path through which fluid flows and whose electric characteristic changes as a function of temperature of the fluid in the flow path, signal lines connected at top end sides thereof to said temperature sensitive device through electrode wires and at base end sides thereof to lead wires for connection with an external circuit, a sheath member retaining the signal lines therein, and a holding member which holds an outer circumferential surface of said sheath member directly or indirectly through another member. The resonance (primary) frequency at a top end of the temperature sensor against acceleration in a radius direction of the temperature sensor is 480 Hz or less, thereby reducing the transmission of vibration to the top end of the temperature sensor to avoid the breakage of the temperature sensitive device and the disconnection of the electrode wires 502102 even when the temperature sensor resonates.
Abstract:
A spark plug including an insulation porcelain having a throughhole; a center electrode held at one end of the throughhole; a housing holding the insulation porcelain; a ground electrode disposed at a front end of the housing and facing the center electrode; a spark gap defined by the center electrode and the ground electrode; and at least one of the center and ground electrodes having a nobel metal member bonded to a discharging spot of its front end, wherein the nobel metal member consists of 90 wt % or more of an Ir—Rh alloy containing 1 to 60 wt % Rh and the balance substantially consisting of at least one of Pt, Pb, Ru, Au and Ni.
Abstract:
To improve the consumption resistance and lifetime, a spark plug for an internal combustion engine comprises: an insulation porcelain having a throughhole; a center electrode held at one end of the throughhole; a housing holding the insulation porcelain; a ground electrode disposed at an front end of the housing and facing the center electrode; a spark gap defined by the center electrode and the ground electrode; and at least one of the center electrode and the ground electrode having a noble metal chip bonded to a discharging spot of an front end thereof, wherein the noble metal chip consisting of an Ir-Rh alloy contains Rh in an amount of from 1 wt % to 60 wt %.
Abstract:
A dedicated V-shaped groove forming machine comprises an X-axis slider disposed over a plate material so as be movable in an X-axis (groove forming direction); a Z-axis slider supported by the X-axis slider so as to be movable in a Z-axis direction (vertical direction); and plural cutting tools mounted on the Z-axis slider; and a Y-axis carriage for moving a plate material (workpiece) in a Y-axis direction (perpendicular to the X-axis direction). Further, there are provided work table adjusting device for adjusting the cutting tool movement locus in parallel to the work table and tool height detecting device for determining an origin in the Z-axis direction, etc.
Abstract:
There is disclosed a spark plug which can maintain a low spark voltage for a long period of time even if a noble metal tip is used in a small amount. A discharge gap is formed between a central electrode and an earth electrode. The noble metal tip is formed on that end face of the central electrode facing the earth electrode. A cross-shaped groove is formed in that end face of the noble metal tip joined to the central electrode. The cross-shaped groove is exposed when the noble metal tip is consumed by a discharge developing in the discharge gap.
Abstract:
Two plates are connected to each other through brackets and fixing pins. The bracket includes a base disc portion, a semi-cylindrical wall portion and a pair of projections. The wall portion is perpendicular to the base disc portion. The projections radially outwardly extend from diametrically opposed portions of the wall portion. One of the two plates has an opening. The opening has concentrically connected smaller and larger circular portions and a pair of notches. The notches are positioned at diametrically opposed portions of the smaller circular portion and have the same thickness as that of the smaller circular portion. The smaller and larger circular portions and the notches are so sized as to receive the semi-cylindrical wall portion, the base disc portion and the projections, respectively. The thickness of the smaller circular portion is the same as the distance between the projection and the base disc portion. The thickness of the larger circular portion is the same as that of the base disc portion.
