    摘要: An image pick-up apparatus includes: an image sensing section which photoelectrically converts light from an object into an electrical output having a logarithmic function in relation to an amount of the light to produce image data regarding a light image of the object; an extracting section which extracts a particular portion having a specified luminance from the light image; a discriminating section which discriminates whether the particular portion has a light source; a data generating section which generates white balance adjustment data of the image data at a specified interval; and a changing section which changes the generation interval based on a result of the discriminating section. This apparatus can assure suitable and accurate color correction in accordance with a changed light source and for each of a variety of photographic scenes.

    摘要: An image pickup apparatus has an image sensor having first-type, second-type, and third-type pixels each producing a signal corresponding to a first, a second, and a third color respectively. The pixels are arranged in a two-dimensional array consisting of first-type and second-type lines arranged alternately, with the first-type lines each composed of first-type and second-type pixels arranged alternately and the second-type lines each composed of first-type and third-type pixels arranged alternately. The image pickup apparatus also has a first subtracter for calculating the difference between the outputs of the first-type pixels and the outputs of the second-type pixels on the first-type lines, and a second subtracter for calculating the difference between the outputs of the first-type pixels and the output of the third-type pixels on the second-type lines. The image pickup apparatus further has a control circuit, which sets the read-operation clock signal of the image sensor at a lower rate during actual shooting than during previewing when the difference between the absolute values of the outputs of the first and second subtracters during previewing is equal to or greater than a predetermined value.

    摘要: An apparatus for reproducing images recorded on successive frames of a film recorded with information, the apparatus includes a film feeder which feeds the film in a first direction and a second direction opposite to the first direction; an information reader which reads the recorded information; a density detector which detects a density of each image; and a controller which controls the film feeder, information reader, and density detector. The information reader is worked when the film is fed in the first direction, the density detector is worked when the film is fed in the second direction. A detected image density is adapted for determining an exposure value at which each image is picked up to reproduce the image.

When an input signal to a spatial filtering block is a monochrome signal that contains Y component only, a selector selects its input terminal and a selector selects its input terminal. Then, a low-pass filter output signal of a programmable spatial filter is inputted to a spatial filter, and a low-pass filter output signal of the spatial filer is inputted to a spatial filter. That is, the programmable spatial filter and the spatial filters are connected in series (in cascade), and the cascade-connected three spatial filters perform filtering operation. In this example, low-pass filters with 5×5 taps are connected in cascade in three stages, which enables low-pass filtering with 13×13 taps.
