    摘要: A process for producing a magnetic recording medium is disclosed. The process involves coating a non-magnetic base with magnetic coating solution containing fine ferromagnetic particles and a binder comprising nitrocellulose, polyol and an isocyanate having at least two isocyanato groups. In the process, the web having 0.3 to 3 wt % of the residual solvent in the magnetic layer is calendered, and the calendered web is then dried thoroughly.

    摘要: A magnetic recording medium which comprises on a support base having coated thereon a magnetic layer containing a binder and a ferromagnetic fine powder dispersed in the binder is disclosed. The binder is comprised of a cellulose derivative having a residual OH group in a proportion of 7.5 to 40%, a diolefin or olefin series synthetic rubber and a polyisocyanate compound. The medium has excellent video sensitivity and video signal to noise ratio. The medium of the invention also have improved abrasion resistance.

    摘要: A magnetic recording medium having a magnetic layer formed on a nonmagnetic base is disclosed. The magnetic layer comprises ferromagnetic particles having a specific surface area of 30 m.sup.2 /g or more. The particles are dispersed in a binder which comprises a thermoplastic polyurethane resin or polyurethane prepolymer and nitrocellulose having an average degree of polymerization of about 50 to 300 and a degree of nitration of 10.7 to 13.0.

    摘要: A process for stabilizing a ferromagnetic material comprising heat-treating a needle-like ferromagnetic material represented by the formula MO.sub.x wherein M is a ferromagnetic metal ion or a ferromagnetic non-metal ion and another metal ion, and x is the degree of oxidation which ranges from 1.36 to 1.47, and containing at least 0.5 atom % Co, at a temperature of at least about 40.degree. C, and a process for stabilizing a magnetic recording member comprising heat-treating a magnetic recording member produced by providing a ferromagnetic recording layer comprising (a) a ferromagnetic material represented by the formula MO.sub.x wherein M and x are the same as defined above, and containing at least 0.5 atom % Co, and (b) a binder, on a support, at a temperature of at least about 40.degree.     摘要: A magnetic recording material having superior abrasion resistance and thermal stability is produced by coating a magnetic coating composition consisting essentially of aqueous emulsions of at least two resin binders capable of reacting with each other upon mixing, and being present therein in the separated state, and a ferromagnetic powder on a non-magnetic support, drying the coating, and curing the resulting magnetic recording layer where drying is insufficient to effect curing. Hazards ascribable to the use of organic solvents in conventional techniques can be obviated by this invention.
