Abstract: Generally described, the presently disclosed technology utilizes managed Wi-Fi networks pre-installed throughout an MDU property to provide user-specific passphrases that can be used to access the single-SSID wireless network at the property and to provide a cloud portal that can enable convenient access to the functionalities (both by the resident and the manager) provided by the Wi-Fi controller and the Wi-Fi access points. By doing so, the Wi-Fi network management solutions described herein allow the users to experience the benefits of a shared Wi-Fi infrastructure, such as not having to set up and maintain their own Wi-Fi routers, while also allowing them to easily change their Wi-Fi settings from their connected devices.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure include systems and methods for injecting content into a webpage at or local to a network access gateway. For example, in an embodiment, a network access gateway is provided for accessing the internet. A user logs onto the internet through the network access gateway and request a webpage. The gateway requests the webpage from the webpage provider. Before the gateway delivers the webpage to the user, the gateway, or a content injection engine local to the gateway, injects content, such as, for example, advertisements or other useful information, into the webpage and then sends the altered webpage to the user.

Abstract: An embodiment is a method of managing bandwidth, performed by a computing system. The system receives user-selected connection parameters associated with a subscriber device. The system associates a network identifier of the subscriber device with a group bandwidth policy, based on the user-selected connection parameters. The system stores, in computer-readable storage media, parameters associated with the group bandwidth policy, in association with the network identifier of the subscriber device. The system receives, at a gateway device, network communication data from the subscriber device. The system limits, at the gateway device, bandwidth available to the network communication data, based on the stored parameters associated with the group bandwidth policy.

Abstract: The local network connection system (LNCS) is configured to balance the subscriber network traffic. Load balancing of subscriber traffic can be accomplished by logically assigning each subscriber to one of the available Internet Service Provider (ISP) links. The assignment of subscribers can be based on a rule set that determines which ISP to assign to a subscriber. The rule set can be used to balance the load on the network interfaces, the ISPs, and provide failover options for the LNCS. The system can perform network interface monitoring operations in order to determine if one or more of the network interfaces have ISP connections and are available to transport network traffic over a network, such as the Internet.

Abstract: Generally described, the presently disclosed technology utilizes durable and non-durable identifiers of a user device to authenticate the user device and cause the user device to be directed to a network intercept portal or captive portal to the user device based on whether additional user input is needed from the user device. A cloud network management server may identify a user device based on a previously stored association between a durable identifier associated with the user device and a non-durable identifier associated with the user device. In response to an indication from the cloud network management server that additional input is needed, a gateway or network management device can indicate to the access point that network access has been granted to the user device, but redirect the user device to network intercept portal or captive portal to obtain the additional user input requested by the cloud network management server.
