As a result, erroneous entrance of lever support shafts into cam grooves is avoided.

    摘要: A connector assembly with a bad-connection-preventive function is disclosed. It is simple in structure, made up of a small number of parts, and has high long-term reliability. It has a second connector having an integral locking arm and a first connector. Protrusions A and B are formed on side faces of the locking arm and the side faces of the first connector, respectively. A spring is mounted in the first connector. By inserting the second connector into the first connector, the locking arm is pushed upward by the protrusions B, so that its shoulder portion abuts the spring. Thus, the spring is compressed when the second connector is further pushed into the first connector. The connectors are thus urged in a direction away from each other by the spring. The spring disengages when the connectors are completely coupled together. When pulling the second connector out of the first connector, the protrusions A pass under the protrusions B.

    摘要: An electrical connection box includes a casing having an upper casing (10) and a lower casing (11). Terminal holes (19, 20) are formed on the outer wall of the casing. An insulating plate (12), mounted in the casing, has a several of wiring grooves (13) formed on at least one of its opposite faces (12a, 12b). Terminal driving portions (24 and 25), obtained by increasing a width of the wiring grooves (13), are provided at predetermined locations in the wiring grooves (13). Wires (14, 15) having first and second diameters are inserted into and held in the wiring grooves (13). Pressing contact terminals (16, 17) includes a pressing contact portion (16a, 17a) and an input-output terminal portion (16b, 17b) formed at its opposite ends, respectively. The pressing contact portions (16a, 17a) are driven into the terminal driving portions (24, 25) to connect through pressing contact to the wires (14, 15) held in the wiring grooves. The input-output terminal portions (16b, 17b) project out of each of the terminal holes (19, 20) to connect to an external circuit. The pressing contact portions (FIG. 46) may include notches (117g, 117h) that bite into the wiring groove as the pressing portions engage the wires and expand outwardly. Small-diameter wires 14 may engage shorter pressing contact terminals 16, while large-diameter wires 15 engage longer pressing contact terminals 17.

    摘要: A connector with a locking mechanism includes a pair of connector housings coupled with each other at their opposed portions. The locking mechanism locks the coupled position of the housings and has a pair of locking devices formed in the housings. One of the connector housings has a slide member having one of the locking devices and a housing body having a slide groove in an upper center portion thereof for slidably receiving the slide member. The slide member is biased by a biasing spring disposed between the slide member and the housing body so that the slide member can move away from the coupled position. The slide member is adapted to be maintained in a first locking position in the housing body by a latching device. The slide member is adapted to be maintained in a second locking position in the one of the connector housings by the locking mechanism to prevent the slide member and the housing body from disengaging from the coupled position. The slide member may also be provided with a conductive portion positioned so as to engage a pair of detecting terminals coupled to detecting conductors when the slide member is moved from the first locking position to the second locking position whereby a circuit for detecting the complete coupling is formed.

The connector includes a flat terminal which comprises a ring-shaped flat terminal portion having a bolt hole formed therein, a tab projected radially outwardly from the periphery of the terminal portion, and a wire crimping portion projected also radially outwardly from the terminal portion. The base portion of the wire crimping portion constitutes a tab insertion opening for receiving the tab of another terminal, so that a plurality of connectors can be assembled together in such a state that the tab of one connector fits in the tab insertion opening of another connector. It is therefore possible to assemble a plurality of wire harness elements together before attaching them to a common electric connector bolt.

If the fitting of the two housings is halted part-way through the operation, the spring member 44 which has been compressed is released, the force which has been accumulated thus far is released, and the female housing is thereby caused to move in a direction of separation.
