摘要: In a mobile communication system, a data communication fixed station 3 and a voice communication fixed station 4 control a common service area, the connection between a mobile station 5 and the data communication fixed station 3 can be quickened. The data communication fixed station 3 notifies, sequentially, the voice communication fixed station 4 of channel informations (e.g., usable channels, traffic quantity). The voice communication fixed station 4 receives the channel information via a broadcast channel for voice communication, and broadcasts the channel information to the mobile stations. When the mobile station 5 is to execute packet communication with an ISDN 1 via the data communication fixed station 3, the mobile station 5 selects an appropriate channel among the channels broadcasted thereto, and notifies the data communication fixed station 3 of the selected channel. As such, since the mobile station 5 can determine the channel before the actual communication between the mobile station 5 and the data communication fixed station 3 takes place, the connection between the mobile station 5 and the data communication fixed station 3 can be quickened.

摘要: This invention appropriately regulates or controls a simultaneous communication between different communication methods. When a request of a voice communication is made with respect to a communication terminal 4 which is currently busy with a packet communication from a communication terminal 1, a voice incoming signal is generated at a voice line controller 20. Then, a communication terminal state request is output from the voice line controller 20. This is transmitted to a data base 30 through a data exchange device 21. Then, the data base 30 reads voice line memory AB, packet line memory PB and transmits the same as a communication terminal state response to the voice line controller 20 through the data exchange device 21. As a consequence, the voice line controller 20 can know the communication state of the communication terminal 4 and determines whether or not the voice communication circuit should be connected based on it.

摘要: An object of the present invention is to reduce the control time required when a channel handover is performed in a mobile communication system. The conventional system has such shortcomings that a long time is required for re-designating a channel when a channel handover procedure results in failure. Particularly, in the common access type system, there is such a problem that since a channel handover is required to be performed several times during a channel handover procedure, an extra time is required for performing the handover procedure. The present invention has a plurality of base stations for covering the service area, and a mobile station for performing a communication with the base stations through radio channels. Here, the present invention is characterized in that the base stations notify the mobile station of a plurality of candidates when the mobile station performs a handover procedure, thereby improving the problem inherent in the conventional system that a single candidate is notified when a channel handover procedure is performed. Therefore, the present invention makes it possible to change the channel to the next candidate channel at high speed when the previous channel handover procedure results in failure.

摘要: In order to provide a packet transfer scheme in which various data can easily be used commonly with other communication methods and a packet can be transferred at a high speed, a mobile communication system comprises a database (20) for storing an identification number of a mobile terminal (40) and location information indicating a zone in which the mobile terminal is currently located, a packet switch (10), and another packet switch (30) capable of communication when the mobile terminal (40) is located in a zone under the packet switch (30). The packet switch (10) inquires of the database (20) about the location information of the mobile terminal (40) when the packet switch (10) receives a packet addressed to the mobile terminal (40). When the mobile terminal (40) is located in the zone under the packet switch (30), the packet is transferred to the mobile terminal (40) through the packet switch (30). Owing to this arrangement, the number of packet switches necessary for transferring the packet to the mobile terminal is two at the most. Thus, the packet can be transferred rapidly.

摘要: A metallic pipe-cutting apparatus is constructed to cut elongate metallic pipes such as aluminum pipes into shorter pipes of a predetermined length, and comprises a main body, a chuck disposed rearwardly of the main body so as to hold trailing ends of the elongate metallic pipes, and a supporter disposed forwardly of the main body, with the main body interposed between the chuck and the supporter. The supporter comprises supporting pins which are to be inserted in leading ends of the pipes whose trailing ends are clamped by the chuck, so that the pipes clamped at their both ends are moved intermittently a predetermined distance so as to be successively cut into the predetermined length, with their outer peripheral surfaces not being scratched or flawed due to sliding contact with clampers or other members.
