    Abstract: In an energy treatment system, a processor temporally detects an electrical property value of an ultrasonic transducer, holds a temporary peak value of the electrical property value, detects an impedance value between the probe electrode and the jaw electrode, and compares the electrical property value and the temporary peak value to determine whether a predetermined condition is satisfied, and whether the impedance value exceeds a predetermined threshold. In response to determining that the electric property value satisfies the predetermined condition and the impedance value is larger than the predetermined threshold, the processor performs at least one of: (i) stopping and (ii) decreasing output from the first power supply, and notifying the determination result.

    Abstract: In an ultrasonic treatment instrument, a vibration generation section is connected to a probe from a proximal direction side in an inside of a case by coupling a drive assembly integrally and detachably to a handle assembly. An opposite extended portion is extended from the case in a state where the opposite extended portion is opposed to the movable handle on the proximal direction side with respect to the movable handle and a space between the opposite extended portion and the movable handle can be opened and closed, when the drive assembly is coupled to the handle assembly. A battery is located in the opposite extended portion, when the drive assembly is coupled to the handle assembly.

    Abstract: In an energy control device, a processor detects a gradual decrease start time at which the electric characteristic value in relation to electric energy output to an ultrasonic transducer starts a gradual decrease after a gradual increase. The processor calculates a difference value by subtracting the electric characteristic value from a peak value at gradual decrease start time and calculates an integrated value of the difference value from the gradual decrease start time. The processor executes, based on a fact that the integrated value become greater than a predetermined threshold, at least one of causing to stop or reduce the output of the electric energy to the ultrasonic transducer, and notifying that the integrated value become greater than the predetermined threshold.

    Abstract: A cordless surgical device includes a battery and a memory that stores data in which, with each of a plurality of energy output modes in which living tissue is treated by applying energy to the living tissue, a minimum power necessary to execute the energy output mode is associated, and a processor. The processor monitors a remaining power in the battery, selects an energy output mode in which the minimum power is less than the remaining power in the battery from among the energy output modes, and executes the selected energy output mode. The energy output modes include a normal output mode and an urgent output mode between which types of energy applied to the living tissue are the same. The minimum power corresponding to the normal output mode is higher than the minimum power corresponding to the urgent output mode.

    Abstract: An energy control device supplies power to an ultrasonic treatment instrument including an end effector performing treatment using ultrasonic vibration generated by an ultrasonic transducer. The energy control device includes an energy source configured to output the power to the ultrasonic transducer, and an integrated circuit. The integrated circuit is configured to: acquire a resonance frequency of a vibration system including the ultrasonic transducer; calculate an initial feature value relating to the resonance frequency after a start of an output of the power; set a threshold based on the initial feature value; and perform causing the energy source to stop or reduce the output of the power to the ultrasonic transducer based on a relationship between the resonance frequency and the threshold, or notifying the relationship between the resonance frequency and the threshold.
