    Abstract: An endoscope distal end portion includes: a channel that is tubular, the channel being where a surgical tool is to be inserted in; a light guide configured to guide illumination light emitted from a light source; an imager configured to capture an image of an observed region illuminated with the illumination light from the light guide; and a fixing member that is made of resin and that has a columnar outer shape, the fixing member being configured to seal around the channel, the light guide, and the imager, wherein the channel is in contact with the imager, and the light guide is in contact with at least one of the channel and the imager, and a contact surface of the channel in contact with the light guide or a contact surface of the imager in contact with the light guide has a groove or a projection formed thereon.

    Abstract: An optical fiber holding structure includes: a structure main body having a prismatic shape; a through hole into which an optical fiber is inserted; a protruding portion having a columnar shape projecting from the structure main body and configured to be inserted into an opening portion of a substrate; and a contact portion configured to abut on a surface of the substrate to position an optical element and the optical fiber at a predetermined distance. The through hole is formed so as to penetrate from a surface of the structure main body through which the optical fiber is inserted to an end surface of the protruding portion, and at least one side surface of the structure main body is flush with at least one side surface of the protruding portion.

    Abstract: An imaging unit includes: a columnar optical member including an incident surface on which light is incident, a reflecting surface for reflecting the light incident from the incident surface in a direction different from the incident surface, and an emission surface for causing the light incident from a direction orthogonal to the incident surface and reflected from the reflecting surface to travel in a straight line and emitting the light to the outside; an imaging device including a light receiving unit, formed on a surface of the imaging device, for receiving the light emitted from the emission surface and performing photoelectric conversion on the light; and a cylindrical imaging holder, protruding from at least part of an outer edge of one end in line with a side surface shape of the optical member, for defining the position of the incident surface and holding the optical member.

    Abstract: An imaging device includes: a holder that has a substantially hollow cylindrical shape having first and second end portions, both of the first and second end portions being opened in a longitudinal direction of the holder, the holder having a cutout portion on a side surface of the first end portion; a lens group provided inside the holder and configured to collect light incident from the second end portion of the holder; an optical member provided inside the holder and configured to transmit or reflect the light collected by the lens group; and an image sensor configured receive the light from the optical member. Part of an outer surface of the optical member is a columnar surface, and the columnar surface of the optical member abuts on an inside of the holder. Part of the image sensor is attached to the side surface of the holder through the cutout portion.
