Abstract: An energy output section outputs first electric energy so that a high-frequency current flows between electrodes through a treated target, and outputs second electric energy so that heat occurs in an end effector. A controller outputs the first electric energy at the same time as the second electric energy in at least a part of a period during which the heat is continuously denaturing the treated target from an output start of the second electric energy. The controller makes, based on judging that the treated target entered a predetermined state, an electric power of the first electric energy increased.

Abstract: A grasping surface opposed to a second jaw is provided on an outer surface in a first jaw of the grasping treatment unit, and a heat applying portion applying heat to a treated target is provided in a grasping-surface-side part in the first jaw. The heat applying portion includes a projection portion in which the grasping surface projects toward the second jaw, and the projection portion includes a first thermal conduction portion, and a second thermal conduction portion with a thermal conductivity which is different from that of the first thermal conduction portion. The second thermal conduction portion is continuous with the first thermal conduction portion in a longitudinal direction of the first jaw.

Abstract: A control device is a control device for an energy treatment tool including a first holding member and a second holding member which hold a biological tissue, and a heating element configured to generate heat corresponding to supplied power, thereby heating a holding surface. The control device includes a temperature acquiring section that acquires a temperature of the heating element; and a surface temperature estimating section that estimates, as a surface temperature, a temperature of at least a part of a surface of the first holding member which is different from a portion facing the second holding member, based on a change of the temperature of the heating element after supply of the power is stopped.

Abstract: A treatment system includes a pair of holding members, a high-frequency energy output section, a heat generating section and a control section. At least one of the pair of holding members moves to the other holding member. The high-frequency energy output section and the heat generating section are provided on at least one of the holding members. The high-frequency energy output section exerts high-frequency energy to a living tissue to denature the living tissue, and collects the biological information of the living tissue. The heat generating section applies heat to it held between the holding members, generates the heat owing to the supply of the energy, and conducts the heat therefrom to denature the living tissue. The control section controls the output of the energy to the high-frequency energy output section and the heat generating section based on the biological information collected by the high-frequency energy output section.

Abstract: A grasping treatment unit includes a first jaw, and a second jaw openable and closable relative to the first jaw. In the first jaw, a heating wire continues without branching from a first extending end to a second extending end, and heat is generated over an entire length from the first extending end to the second extending end when the electric current flows through the heating wire. In a heating portion, a calorific value per unit area is higher in a distal portion than in a proximal portion in the first jaw when the heat is generated from the heating wire. On a treatment surface of the first jaw, an amount of heat transfer from the heating portion is greater in the distal portion than in the proximal portion.
