摘要: A method, user equipment, network device, and software product enable allocation of a number of resource blocks over a downlink to the user equipment. The resource blocks are grouped into a number of groups of the blocks, the number of groups being no greater than a maximum number. The resource blocks are arranged in an adjacent manner within each of the groups. The resource blocks are allocated by operating on the groups, and the allocation is signalled using a group allocation indication.

摘要: A system and method is provided which allows for the dynamic interpretation of a transport block size field in a Layer 1/Layer 2 (L1/L2) control channel, such that for any first H-ARQ transmission, the transport block size indication field will indicate the size of the transport block. For any retransmission, the transport block size indication bits can be transformed into dedicated bits for indicating the RV used as it relates to circular buffering. A robust bit field for indicating new data transmission (e,g, new data indication (NDI)) is therefore introduced, and from a UE perspective it is possible to determine how to interpret the transport block size field.

摘要: The present invention relates to method, terminal device and network device for providing redundancy parameters for an automatic repeat request processing at a terminal device. At least one sequence of redundancy parameters is selected from a predetermined set of sequences and is signaled to the terminal device by using a strategy information indicating the selected parameter sequence. Thereby, the network operator is able to select the redundancy version strategy to be used by the terminal device, while little signaling is required between the network and the UE. Moreover, a flexible strategy can be provided where individual redundancy version strategies can be allocated to the connections.

摘要: A method and system for transport block size signaling where information including a first modulation scheme, first transport block size, and first redundancy version may be transmitted. The first transport block size and first redundancy version each are represented by a set number of bits. A packet is transmitted using the first modulation scheme. Second information is transmitted including a second modulation scheme, second transport block size, and second redundancy version. The second transport block size is represented by a set number of bits larger than the number of bits representing the first transport block size. The second redundancy version is represented by a set number of bits less than the number of bits representing the first redundancy version. The packet is re-transmitted using the second modulation scheme. The system may use Wideband Code Division Multiple Access (WCDMA) that implements High Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA).

摘要: A channel quality signaling method and a telecommunication system are provided. The system comprises a base station and one or more user equipment, the base station and the user equipment being configured to communicate with each other using a set of given resources. The system comprises a network element for determining connection information comprising the resources to which the channel quality signaling relates, the user equipment capability, and reference information regarding transmission power used by the base station, a network element for determining connection quality criteria. User equipment is configured to measure a parameter relating to the quality of the received signal from a signal received from a base station, determine an identification of physical connection parameters with which the connection quality criteria may be fulfilled given the determined connection information, and transmit the determined identification to the base station.
