摘要： A gas spring includes a cylinder containing a fluid at least part of which is a compressed gas. The cylinder receives a piston that is affixed to a piston rod and divides the cylinder into two working chambers. The piston has a one-way valve that is cycled in response to the direction of motion of the piston and pressure-control valve consisting of a spring and a valve body. In a partial stroke region of the piston a bypass allows fluid flow past the one-way valve and the pressure-control valve. The partial stroke region is adjoined by a bypass-free stroke region, the gas spring being arrested in the bypass-free stroke region. The spring of the pressure-control valve has a temperature-dependent elastic force, the elastic force of the spring increasing with increasing operating temperature, owing to which the compressive force necessary for opening the pressure-control valve increases to an equal extent.

摘要： A piston-cylinder unit includes a piston which divides the cylinder into two working chambers, a sealing valve seals a flow path between the two working chambers in the stationary operating condition of the unit. The sealing valve has a valve element consisting of an axially movable radially sealing sealing ring in conjunction with a valve ring, which at its back is supported by a spring-biased member. The slide member and the valve ring form therebetween a flow-off chamber having a flow-off opening that is sized so that unrestricted fluid flow is permitted so as to prevent the formation of a ram pressure in the flow-off chamber. The sealing ring is movable between three axial positions relative to the valve ring. At a center position, the sealing ring seals the flow path against fluid flow. At the two other positions, the sealing ring permits fluid flow in opposite directions.

摘要： Height adjustable object carrier column for use as a chair column of a revolving chair. The head area of the chair is moved back to a rest height and angular orientation with respect to the foot area of the chair upon relief of the chair load. The head area can be adjusted with respect to the foot area, by height adjustment apparatus, to different rest heights. Height adjustment is provided in the form of a hydraulic or a hydropneumatic or a spring-hydraulic or a pneumatic actuator with a cylinder assembly and a piston rod assembly which are coaxial to a telescope axis. The height adjustment apparatus includes internal biasing structure and first arbitrarily adjustable and second automatic blocking devices, whereby following a reduction of the load on the object carrier column, the second blocking device is released, and the height adjustment apparatus is moved toward a specified limit position, and the stop moves the object carrier column into the specified rest angular orientation.

摘要： An apparatus is provided for the uniform and rapid heating of foodstuffs, usually for pasteurization and sterilization purposes, by means of microwave energy. The cross-sectional shape of the outlet of the wave guides through which the microwave energy is supplied is selected so as to be geometrically similar to that of the product to be treated. A spacing is maintained between the outlet aperture and the surface of the product, which spacing is not greater than the wavelength of the microwave energy be used. These features provide rapid and appropriate processing of a food product while, at the same time, preventing the harmful overheating of the edge regions of the product.

摘要： An apparatus for continuously producing wood pulp from wood shavings comprising a screw which rotates within a hollow cylinder. The hollow interior of the cylinder is divided into a pressure zone and a grinding and bleaching zone, the shavings being subjected to at least partially defibrillation under a high, continuously-increasing pressure in the pressure zone and then being simultaneously further defibrillated and bleached in the grinding and bleaching zone. The grinding and bleaching zone includes a plurality of pin planes, each plane being formed of at least three radially extending pins which project through the wall of the cylinder, the planes being spaced apart along the length of the screw. The pin planes provide a further pressure increase and produce a desired grinding and defibrillation effect, so that wood pulp is produced without damaging the material and a bleaching agent is simultaneously injected into the grinding and bleaching zone, is caused to be distributed thoroughly and uniformly through the fibers.A method for producing wood pulp in a screw press comprising the steps of feeding the shavings into the hollow interior of the cylinder which is divided into two zones, rotating the screw while at least minimizing the rotation of the shavings with the screw to cause the shavings to traverse the first zone so that the pressure acting on the shavings builds up and at least partial defibrillation of the shavings occurs, the shavings then entering the second zone in which they are simultaneously ground and bleached, the grinding being effected by pressing the shavings, by the rotation of the screw, against radially extending pins projecting through the cylinder to the base of the screw, the pins being located in a plurality of pin planes extending transversely to the longitudinal axis of the screw and at least three pins being provided in each plane and the bleaching being effected by injecting a bleaching or other treatment agent into the cylinder in the grinding and bleaching zone, and finally discharging the thus produced wood pulp from the cylinder.
