According to the present invention, there is provided a fuel cell including an anode for oxidizing liquid fuel, a cathode for reducing oxygen, an electrolyte membrane provided between the above described anode and the above described cathode, a fuel chamber for storing liquid fuel to be fed to the above described anode, and a unit for ventilating between the outside and the inside of the fuel chamber and for blocking liquid, wherein the pressure inside the fuel chamber is higher than the pressure outside the fuel chamber.
