    摘要: The invention relates to a wobble drive, in which a shaft supports a wobble ring by means of a pivot bearing, a finger extending from said ring. To reduce vibrations caused by the movement of the finger, at least one balancing mass is configured on the shaft. Alternatively or in addition, at least one balancing mass can be provided on the wobble ring. This allows the vibrations that are caused naturally by the movement of the finger to be compensated.

    摘要: A compensation device for the influence of the weight of a power feed line on a weight measurement device determining the weight of an electrode and/or the melting rate in an electro-slag remelting process, in a vacuum arc furnace or the like. When an x-y device is adjusted, a weight jump occurs due to the forces of the power cable or the forces of the bellows, which has a disturbing effect on the rate definition. This weight jump can be prevented by means of mechanical devices, or can be made so small that it no longer constitutes a disturbance. However, the expenditure for this is disproportionately high. The invention is more cost efficient, since hardware or software means suffice. The weight function G=f(t) is extrapolated and compared with the actually measured weight G'=f(t). The magnitude of the difference between the two is stored and later added as a correction value.

    摘要: Disclosed is an induction furnace with a furnace bottom comprising a crucible, an induction winding and a gas-tight casing, also having a lid, for the furnace bottom, which lid has at least one gas connection, a charging valve and a pouring arrangement. The furnace bottom and lid are connected by a flange joint and tiltably mounted by means of a picot bearing and a drive about a tipping axis in a furnace stand. The pivot bearing is secured to the lid, the tipping mechanism engages the lid, and the furnace bottom is separable from the lid by unfastening the flange joint, the lid remaining in the furnace stand.

    摘要: Method for the charging and controlled addition of prealloys to molten alloys of metals reactive and nonreactive at room temperature which are held in a crucible. To permit pre-alloys with a high percentage of reactive metal to be worked more easily, a casting is produced from the reactive and nonreactive metals by a casting process followed by solidification. This casting is nonreactive at its surface at room temperature and its average content of reactive metal is equal to or greater than the reactive metal content in the crucible. Such castings are added to the crucible according to the need for the reactive metal. In an especially advantageous manner, a casting produced in a casting mold in a nonreactive atmosphere has at least at its surface such a content of nonreactive metal that it is stable at room temperature.

    摘要: A graphite nipple projecting from one end of a graphite electrode portion of the type used in an electric furnace has a supporting face for receiving a non-graphite portion of a clamping device in shape-locking engagement for holding the electrode for use. It also has a conventional screw-thread surface for joining the nipple to another electrode portion for extending the electrode. The supporting face does not alter the conventional screw-thread surface arrangement for joining electrode portions so that specially-shaped and thus costly electrode-supporting nipples are not required in addition to the conventionally-shaped nipples for joining electrode portions, and a graphite screw-thread does not have to be unscrewed for the same, which unscrewing frequently broke the nipple or electrode portion.

    摘要: An electroslag remelting arrangement for remelting consumable electrodes into ingots, in which the ingot mold power connection is mounted beneath the mold upper edge on the ingot mold or on the mold floor, and is led away downwardly. The electrode current connection has at least two stationary bus bars which extend continuously from the connection point of the ingot mold to the maximum stroke height of the electrode feed device. The bus bars, moreover, run coaxially or quasi-coaxially with respect to the ingot mold, and are electrically connected to the consumable electrode by sliding contacts and connecting leads.
