    Abstract: A method of controlling a lighting installation in a space in which a plurality of items are displayed comprises detecting a personal computer device in the space, the personal computer device associated with an anonymized user, and said detection including detecting information on the user device; by using the information detected on the personal computer device, accessing profile data associated with the anonymized user and derived from previous online activity of the anonymized user; determining items likely to be of interest to the anonymized user associated with the personal computer device based on said profile data; and controlling at least one lighting component to provide distinguishing illumination directed towards at least one of the determined items.

    Abstract: The current invention relates to a housing (10) for securing a recessed fixture in a support (20), the housing (10) comprising at least one spring (12) resting on a portion of the side wall (10a) when loaded, and extending outwardly from the side wall (10a) when released so as to secure the housing (10) in the support (20); the housing (10) further comprises at least one releasable retention member keeping the spring (12) loaded over a given length of insertion of the housing (10) into the support (20). The housing (10) can notably be used in a recessed light fixture.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a lighting system (1) comprising a lighting device (6) having a first USB-PD connector and a power providing unit, which is preferentially a component of a power providing device (4) and which is operable in different operational modes. A second USB-PD connector is electrically connected with the power providing unit and adapted to be connected with the first USB-PD connector for generating a USB-PD connection (5) via which power and optionally also data are receivable by the lighting device. A connection feature value being indicative of a feature of the connection is determined and the operational mode of the power providing unit is controlled depending on the determined connection feature value. This allows for a reaction on the current connection situation. For instance, if the connection feature value indicates a relatively low thermal coupling, the power providing unit may provide less power.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a heat transferring arrangement (100, 400) for cooling at least one light emitting diode (302), wherein the heat transferring arrangement (100, 400) comprises a centre portion (102, 402) configured for mounting the light emitting diode (302) and adapted to receive heat generated from the light emitting diode (302) when emitting light, and a plurality of elongated heat transferring elements (104), each having a first end portion (106) connected to the center portion (102, 402) and a second end portion (108) which when inserted in a housing (200) is configured to be in abutment with an inner surface (202) of the housing (200), so that the generated heat is thermally transferred to the housing (200). Advantages with the invention includes, at least, that a passive heat transferring arrangement is provided which may reduce the need of an external fan or membranes to provide sufficient cooling.

    Abstract: According to an aspect, a connector plug (11) for a lighting device (12) is provided. The connector plug comprises a fastening arrangement (13) for mechanically coupling the lighting device to the connector plug, and an electronic contact (15) arranged to transfer power to, and communicate data with the lighting device coupled to the connector plug. Further, the connector plug comprises a heat sink (17) having a heat reception interface (18) arranged to receive heat from the lighting device coupled to the connector plug and a heat dissipation interface arranged to dissipate at least some of the heat received via the heat reception interface. The present aspect is based on a concept of utilizing the connector plug for dissipating heat from the lighting device, whereby the overall heat dissipation from the lighting device increases, which promotes a longer life time of the lighting device.
