Abstract: The present invention relates to a vehicle system (80) configured for injecting an aqueous solution in an air intake line (12) upstream of a combustion chamber (14) of an internal combustion engine, or in the combustion chamber (14) of the internal combustion engine, said vehicle system (80) comprising the following constituents: ⋅a tank (16) to store an aqueous solution; ⋅a pump (18); ⋅an air intake line (12) upstream of a combustion chamber (14) of an internal combustion engine; ⋅one or more injectors (20) configured for injecting aqueous solution in the air intake line (12), in the combustion chamber (14) or both; ⋅a feed line (22) configured in for feeding said injector (20) with aqueous solution pumped by the pump (18). In the vehicle system, at least a portion of at least one of the vehicle system constituents (16, 18, 12, 20, 22) or of a tank (16) component (24) is made of a polymer material. The polymer material—comprises an effective amount of at least one antimicrobial agent, or—has on its surface a surface coating containing at least one antimicrobial agent, the surface coating comprising between 0.001% by weight and 0.25% by weight of the at least one antimicrobial agent.

Abstract: A method for manufacturing a fuel tank or filling pipe including a wall made of thermoplastics material and a fibrous reinforcement over at least part of the surface thereof, the method including: heating the fibrous reinforcement to bring the fibrous reinforcement into an at least partially molten state; introducing the heated fibrous reinforcement, and the wall in at least partially molten state, into a mold; and welding the fibrous reinforcement to the wall using pressure of a gas which inflates the wall and presses the heated fibrous reinforcement firmly against the wall in the molten state.

Abstract: An internal casing for a pressurized fluid storage tank for a motor vehicle includes: a hollow body includes a layer made of a first polymer material; and a neck arranged on the hollow body and delimiting an opening of the hollow body, the neck receiving an interface part mounted on the neck in a sealed manner by a gasket arranged between the neck and the interface part. The neck is made of a composite material composed of a second polymer material loaded with reinforcing fibers, the composite material having a deformation resistance than that of the first polymer material. The neck is joined to the hollow body by molecular entanglement of polymer chains of the first polymer material and polymer chains of the second polymer material. Methods for manufacturing such an internal casing, and a storage tank including such an internal casing are disclosed.

Abstract: A method for welding a heat shield during manufacturing of a vehicle component made from a thermoplastic material. The heat shield includes: a reinforcement layer made from a thermoplastic material which is weldable to the thermoplastic material of the vehicle component; and a heat shielding material that differs from the thermoplastic material of the reinforcement layer and is configured to decrease transfer of heat through the reinforcement layer to the vehicle component. The method includes: heating the heat shield to bring the thermoplastic material of the reinforcement layer in a molten state; placing the heated heat shield in a mold; bringing into the mold the thermoplastic material of the vehicle component in a molten state; welding the thermoplastic material of the reinforcement layer being in a molten state to the thermoplastic material of the vehicle component being in a molten state, by blow molding the vehicle component in the mold.

Abstract: A method for assembling a tank, including: providing a plastic first shell, a plastic second shell with an opening, and at least one connecting member with a plastic end part configured to be arranged in or around the opening, the first and second shell delimiting an internal volume of the tank, and the connecting member being dimensioned for connecting the first and second shell in the internal volume of the tank; welding a circumference of the first shell to a circumference of the second shell; arranging the end part in or around the opening; and connecting the end part of the connecting member to a wall part of the second shell by heating an external area of the second shell surrounding the opening and/or by heating the end part of the connecting member.
