Abstract: A fuel tank venting system for an automotive vehicle comprising: a fuel tank comprising a vapor dome, a refueling pipe, a fuel vapor trap that is connected to the fuel tank by an inlet conduit, wherein the inlet conduit is connected with the fuel tank through an orifice which is permanently open, the orifice being arranged in the vapor dome of the fuel tank in a static condition and a normally closed shutter device that communicates with the atmosphere and that is connected to the fuel vapor trap by an outlet conduit, the normally closed shutter device comprising an electrically-actuated valve being closed when the electrically-actuated valve is de-energized, wherein the normally closed shutter device is configured to be open during vehicle refueling process and to be closed when the fuel in the fuel tank reaches a predetermined fill level and when the vehicle is in normal operation.

In the vehicle system, at least a portion of at least one of the vehicle system constituents (16, 18, 12, 20, 22) or of a tank (16) component (24) is made of a polymer material. The polymer material—comprises an effective amount of at least one antimicrobial agent, or—has on its surface a surface coating containing at least one antimicrobial agent, the surface coating comprising between 0.001% by weight and 0.25% by weight of the at least one antimicrobial agent.

Abstract: A frame for a plastic tank for a motor vehicle, containing at least one means for attaching an internal reinforcing element of the plastic tank which is intended to connect two opposite walls of said plastic tank. The at least one means for attaching the internal reinforcing element includes at least one first structure configured to snap-fit at least a portion of the internal reinforcing element. Abstract: A method of controlling water injection in an internal combustion engine for a motor vehicle in case of freezing cold weather. The method includes: controlling the quality of the water, having a first sub-step of disapproving the quality of the water if the electrical conductivity σ of the water is not zero nor close to zero when the temperature T of the water is 0° C. or less and a second sub-step of approving the quality of the water if the electrical conductivity σ of the water is zero or close to zero when the temperature T of the water is higher than −4° C., preferably higher than −2° C. The method further includes a second sub-step of preventing water injection if the quality of the water is disapproved and a third step of allowing water injection if the quality of the water is approved.

Abstract: A vehicle system includes a tank for storing an aqueous solution; and a UV light decontamination module configured for decontaminating aqueous solution stored in the tank. The UV light decontamination module is arranged in a wall of the tank. The UV light decontamination module includes a light source compartment which is accessible from an external area outside of the tank; and a light transmission member configured to transmit UV light from the light source compartment to a liquid space in fluid communication with aqueous solution stored in the tank. The light source compartment includes a light source to emit UV light through the light transmission member to the liquid space.
