    摘要: Synthetic resins containing quaternary phosphonium base groups are prepared by reacting an epoxy group-containing material with a phosphine in the presence of an acid. The resins may contain epoxy groups or they may be essentially epoxy-group free, and may optionally contain oxyalkylene groups. When dispersed in water, the aqueous dispersion preferably contains boron. The resultant dispersion can be applied to a wide variety of substrates by electrodeposition and will deposit on the cathode to provide coatings of unique properties, including high resistance to corrosion and staining.

    摘要: THIS INVENTION RELATES TO NOVEL INORGANIC REFACTORY FOAMS, THEIR PRECURSORS AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURE. THE FOAMS ARE FORMED BY HEATING A FILLER, UNSATURATED POLYESTER FOAM CONTAINING A REFACTORY FILLER, A FLUXING AGENT WHICH IS A COMPOUND OF A METAL OF THE FIRST AND SECOND GROUPS OF THE PERIODIC TABLE AND, IF DESIRED, A HEAT RESISTANT FIBROUS MATERIAL, THEREBY CONSUMING THE POLYESTER BINDER TO PRODUCE THE INORGANIC FOAM. ALTERNATIVELY, THE BINDER MAY BE REDUCED TO A CARBONACEOUS STATE TO PROVIDE AN INSULATIVE MATERIAL USEFUL PER SE AS A PRECUSOR FOR THE INORGANIC FOAMS.
