    Abstract: A film capacitor includes a first electrode layer, a second electrode layer, and a dielectric film disposed between the first and second electrode layers. The dielectric film mainly contains a styrene polymer having a syndiotactic structure. The first electrode layer includes first small electrode segments and a first fuse which interconnects the first small electrode segments. A value obtained by dividing an area of each of the plurality of first small electrode segments by the third power of a thickness of the dielectric film is not smaller than 0.4×1013/m and not larger than 5.0×1013/m. The film capacitor has a high withstanding voltage.

    Abstract: A capacitor includes a capacitor element, a first electrode, a second electrode, a first bus bar, a second bus bar, an exterior member, and a filler resin. The first electrode is disposed on an end face of the capacitor element. The second electrode is disposed on another end face of the capacitor element. The first bus bar is connected to the first electrode. The second bus bar is connected to the second electrode. The exterior member covers the capacitor element. The filler resin fills an interior of the exterior member. The exterior member includes a metal laminate film and has an opening to lead out a part of the first bus bar and a part of the second bus bar. The opening is sealed with the filler resin.

    Abstract: A film capacitor includes a capacitor element that includes an element body formed of a winding of or a laminate of metallized films and a P pole electrode and an N pole electrode that are respectively formed on opposite end faces of the element body. The film capacitor also includes a P electrode bus bar and an N electrode bus bar that are respectively connected to the P pole electrode and the N pole electrode, and an electrically conductive covering that covers a peripheral surface of the capacitor element with the covering spaced away from at least one of the P pole electrode or the N pole electrode.
