    摘要: The present invention is directed to electrical wiring device that includes: a housing including a cover and a back body, the housing further including a plurality of line terminals and a plurality of feed-through load terminals, a plurality of receptacle load terminals substantially aligned with a plurality of receptacle openings; a fault protection circuit disposed inside the housing, having sensing components mounted to one side of a first PCB, the fault protection circuit being configured to provide a fault detection signal in response to detecting at least one type of predetermined fault condition; a circuit interrupter disposed inside the housing, the circuit interrupter being configured to couple the plurality respective terminals in response to a reset stimulus being applied to a reset button, the circuit interrupter being configured to decouple the respective plurality of terminals in a second state when the latching element and a reset pin are decoupled in response to the fault detection signal; and an indication circuit having an indicator to alert the user of device status.

    摘要: An electrical wiring device including: a housing, a plurality of line terminals, feed-through load terminals and receptacle load terminals electrically connected to a pivotable contact structure or to a fixed contact structure comprising a conductive member having at least one contact positioned thereon, wherein in response to a make-force each pivotable contact structure is configured to perform a first pivotable movement to electrically connect each of the contacts on each pivotable contact structure to one of the contacts on a different one of the fixed contact structures in the reset state, thereby electrically connecting the terminals in the reset state; a circuit interrupting assembly including at least one breaking element being configured to perform a first linear movement in a first direction in response to a break-force in order to cause each pivotable contact structure to perform a second pivotable movement in a direction opposite the first pivotable movement to decouple each of the contacts on each pivotable contact structure from one of the contacts on a different one of the fixed contact structures thereby decoupling the terminals to effect a tripped state; and a protective electrical assembly.

    摘要: An electrical wiring device having a plurality of line and load terminals configured to be coupled to an AC electrical distribution system; an electro-optical assembly coupled to the line or load terminals, including at least one circuit coupled to an ambient light sensor, a light emitting assembly and a visual indicator element, the visual indicator element being configured to provide a visual indicator signal, the ambient light sensor being configured to provide a sensor signal corresponding to ambient light in the ambient environment, the at least one circuit being configured to read the sensor signal during a time period when the visual indicator signal are not being emitted, wherein at least one of the visual indicator element and the light emitting assembly is configured to provide a selectable color temperature signal based on user input; and a bidirectional light pipe including a first light pipe branch coupled to the visual indicator element, a second light pipe branch coupled to the ambient light sensor, an interface region coupled between the first and second light pipe branch, the interface region being further coupled to a bidirectional lens element configured to direct the ambient light into the second light pipe branch and direct the visual indicator signal into the ambient environment via the first light pipe branch.

    摘要: The present invention is directed to a protective wiring device that includes a rear cover member having a portion substantially defining a line terminal interface region. An electric circuit assembly includes a sensor assembly coupled to a fault detection circuit. A plurality of line terminal interface contacts are disposed in the line terminal interface region, each line terminal interface contact being connected to a termination structure coupled to the rear body member. A conductive pathway is configured to interconnect the termination structure and a corresponding one of the first set of contacts via the sensor assembly. The conductive pathway includes a conductive structure disposed in the rear cover member and mounted to the at least one PCB. The line terminal interface contacts are configured to mate with a removably attachable electrical adapter connected to the plurality of AC power transmitting wires to provide AC power to the electric circuit assembly.

    摘要: The present invention is directed to an electrical wiring device that includes a front cover assembly having a front major surface. The front major surface includes a button disposed between first and second sets of receptacle openings. A test circuit is coupled to the button, and the button is coupled to an elongated switch actuator. The elongated switch actuator includes a first switch contact and a second switch contact which contact a first test circuit portion and a second test circuit portion in the switch closed position. The first switch contact contacts a first test circuit portion and the second switch contact contacts a second test circuit portion in the switch closed position, the first switch contact and the first test circuit portion forming a first air gap and the second switch contact and the second test circuit portion forming a second air gap in the switch open position.
