摘要: A correlated set of iron-type golf club heads, wherein each head in the set employs the same sized vibration damping plaque. Each club head includes a substantially planar blade element having a front striking face for impacting a golf ball, and a rear surface opposite the front striking face. A perimeter weighting element is formed integrally with at least a portion of the outer perimeter of the rear surface and extends substantially rearwardly from the rear surface. The remainder of the rear surface not covered by the perimeter weighting element defines the bottom of an open cavity which is substantially surrounded by an inner peripheral surface of the perimeter weighting element. The area and shape of the remainder of the rear surface that defines the bottom of the open cavity are substantially identical in each club head of the correlated set, thus making it possible to use the same sized and shaped vibration damping plaque in each club head. The invention additionally includes an iron-type golf club head, including a top rail surface portion projecting rearwardly from an upper periphery of the front striking face and extending between the toe and heel portions. The hosel is offset and inset, and extends generally upwardly and forwardly only from the heel end portion of the top rail, such that the hosel does not occupy any portion of the front striking face and does not impede contact between the front striking face and a golf ball.

摘要: A system for automatically testing a fluid specimen to indicate the presence of specified chemical components in the specimen. The system utilizes an assaying device having a collection cup and a cap that carries at least one test strip. The device includes an integrated aliquot delivery mechanism actuatable to wet the test strip with an aliquot delivered from the fluid specimen. The assaying device operates in conjunction with an electronic reader device capable of actuating the aliquot delivery mechanism and reading the reaction of the test strip. A reader device defines a keyed receptacle for accommodating a complementary shaped cup housing in a particular orientation. The reader device includes a camera for capturing the image of a test strip, an actuator for actuating an aliquot delivery mechanism, and a microprocessor/controller for (1) controlling the camera and actuator and (2) processing the image.

The system preferably utilizes an assaying device comprised of a collection cup and a cap which carries at least one test strip. The device includes an integrated aliquot delivery mechanism actuatable to wet the test strip with an aliquot delivered from the fluid specimen. The assaying device is configured to operate in conjunction with an electronic reader device capable of actuating the aliquot delivery mechanism and reading the reaction of the test strip. A preferred reader device defines a keyed receptacle for accommodating a complementary shaped cup housing in a particular orientation. The reader device is comprised of a camera for capturing the image of a test strip, an actuator for actuating an aliquot delivery mechanism, and a microprocessor/controller for (1) controlling the camera and actuator and (2) processing the image.

摘要: A notepad and writing instrument holder, particularly adapted for mounting on a surface within the interior of an automobile, for example, includes one piece construction comprising a molded plastic structure with first and second members which are hinged together along a living hinge portion. One of the members nests within the other such that opposed side panels of each member cooperate to retain the two members in a fixed position relative to each other to provide a writing surface for a notepad which is adjustable to suit the writer's needs and position relative to the notepad holder. Ratchet teeth formed on one member cooperate with detent members formed on the other member. The notepad holder may be injection molded in a generally flat planar configuration and the two members are formed by folding circular sector shaped side panels of each member with respect to center panels of each member into their working positions. The notepad holder may also have a scalloped or relieved surface to facilitate access to a recess holding a writing instrument and to facilitate access to a recess holding a notepad. A demountable suction cup is mounted on one of the members for supporting the notepad holder on a support surface.
