摘要: The present invention is an improved free-radical crosslinking process and free-radical crosslinking polymer compositions. The improved process delivers hotter processing conditions, faster crosslinking, or increased crosslinked densities. The crosslinkable polymeric composition comprises (1) a free-radical crosslinkable polymer, (2) a free-radical inducing species, and (3) a crosslinking-temperature-profile modifier.

摘要: Swellable nano-particles, such as layered nano-particles, which are treated or contacted with one or more swelling agents, such as a surfactant, improves the thermal stability of insulation shield in power cables and also permits the use of low levels of NBR and vinyl-acetate EVA copolymers in such insulation shield.

摘要: The present invention is a semiconductive power cable composition made from or containing (a) a mixture of a hightemperature polymer and a soft polymer, and (b) a conductive filler, wherein a semiconductive cable layer prepared from the composition strippably adheres to a second cable layer. The invention also includes a semiconductive cable layer prepared from the semiconductive power cable composition as well as a power cable construction prepared by applying the semiconductive cable layer over a wire or cable.
