    摘要: The present invention provides a high response inexpensive microprocessor based digital control system. The digital control system uses only one detector that detects only one motion characteristic of the device controlled by the system. In the preferred embodiment, the digital control system controls the field orientation, the position and the velocity of a movable member of a brushless motor by creating commands that represent the desired position of the movable member 1024 times per second. The system also provides methods for improving the accuracy and precision of the system.

    摘要: Dispensing systems are disclosed which utilize electronically powered key devices and/or identification codes associated with a refill container to preclude the need for mechanical keys. A first embodiment of the device utilizes a matching code stored in a radio frequency identification tag or bar code associated with a fluid refill container and an identification code associated with the dispenser housing. Matching of the codes by a controller allows for continued use of the dispenser via some type of operational mechanism. Another embodiment employs a key which carries the matching code wherein matching of the codes allows for actuation of a motor actuated pumping device. Yet another embodiment employs a blocking mechanism to prevent use of a dispenser's push bar if a key and dispenser housing do not have matching codes. And yet another embodiment requires the use of a key that has a matching code that matches the dispenser's identification code in order to permit initial access to the dispenser housing.

    摘要: The present invention relates to an electrical bypass timer circuit for temporarily disabling a delay feature which would otherwise prevent activation of a system until the delay has lapsed. During the period that the bypass timer circuit is active, the delay feature is overridden, allowing the system to be activated. After the bypass timer circuit has deactivated, the delay feature becomes operative, preventing activation of the system until the delay has lapsed. The bypass timer circuit can be used with any system where a delay is desired prior to system activation, to eliminate that delay when permitted by system operating characteristics. The bypass timer circuit can take the form of a software-driven computer processor, a solid-state digital logic control network, or a network of discrete electrical components incorporating a timing function. One preferred embodiment of the invention is designed for an internal combustion engine pre-lubrication system, and uses a network of discrete resistors and capacitors that electrically discharges within a set time period determined by the circuit configuration and the physical characteristics of the resistors and capacitors incorporated into the network. This embodiment of the bypass timer circuit is electrically connected to the system and to the delay circuitry to cause an override of the delay circuitry during the period that the resistor-capacitor network is undergoing discharge. During the discharge period, this override of the delay circuitry permits the system starting circuitry to receive an enabling signal which activates the system. After the discharge has ended, the delay circuitry takes effect to prevent the receipt of the enabling signal by the system starting circuitry until the delay has lapsed.
