摘要: A frangible access panel separation system for separating an access panel from a host structure is disclosed. In one embodiment, the system includes first and second doublers for initially interconnecting the first and second sections, an expandable explosive system contained in a cavity defined by the first and second doublers and first and second sections, and first and second staggered grooves positioned on the first and second doublers, the first and second doublers severable along break planes defined by the first and second staggered grooves to facilitate a substantially collision-free separation and ejection of the first section relative to the second section, and a detonator member for initiating detonation thereof.

摘要: The present invention resides in a die casting process using a solid lubricant composition. The lubricant composition preferably comprises (a) about 30% to about 70% by weight of a high melting point synthetic wax having a melting point in the range of about 270.degree. F. to about 310.degree. F. (132.degree.-154.degree. C.); (b) about 10 to about 50% by weight of a wax having a lower melting point in the range of about 150.degree. F. to about 250.degree. F. (65.degree.-121.degree. C.).

摘要: An apparatus for controlling the drag area growth of a parachute canopy during airborne descent with sensors attached to the payload for facilitating modification of the schedule of release of a parachute canopy reefing mechanism. A control processor is included that can receive and/or calculate a schedule for disengaging the reefing on the parachute. One or more wireless transmitters at the payload transmit the releasing signal from the payload to the reefing mechanism normally located adjacent the parachute canopy. The control processor can also be configured to receive input information from multiple sensors attached to the payload that monitor parameters such as altitude, position, load force, dynamic pressure, time and others to facilitate instantaneous recalculation of the disreefing schedule responsive to such conditions.
