Abstract: A sliding operator handle includes an actuatable brake providing at least one braking position in which the actuatable brake is configured to contact a track and restrict sliding motion of the track mount along the track and at least one sliding position in which the actuatable brake is configured to reduce contact with the track and allow sliding motion of the track mount along the track, and a handle pivotably coupled to the track mount. The handle is configured to receive a manual input force to slide the track mount in either direction along the track, and being further configured to actuate the actuatable brake in response to the manual input force. The handle includes a neutral position corresponding to the at least one braking position of the actuatable brake and actuation positions to allow sliding motion of the track mount along the track in response to manual input forces.

Abstract: A fenestration unit is disclosed. In various examples, the fenestration unit includes a plurality of panels, including first and second panels. In some examples, one or more of the plurality of panels is configured to slide relative to a frame of the fenestration unit to provide an opening in the fenestration unit. In various examples, each of the first and second panels are also configured to be pivoted relative to the frame such that the first and second panels can be hinged or otherwise pivoted open to increase the size of the opening in the fenestration unit.

Abstract: A fenestration unit such as a door operable in a sliding mode and a bi-fold folding mode. Examples include a frame, a first panel, a second panel, and one or more fold hinges releasably pivotally connecting a second side portion of the first panel to a first side portion of the second panel and defining a folding axis. In the sliding mode (1) the fold hinges are configured to disconnect the first and second panels, (2) the first panel is in a closed position with respect to the frame, and (3) the second panel is configured to slide along a path generally parallel to the first panel between a closed position and a sliding open position. In the folding mode (1) the fold hinges are configured to pivotally connect the second side portion of the first panel and the first side portion of the second panel, and (2) the first panel and second panel fold with respect to one another about the folding axis with the first panel pivoting with respect to the frame and the second panel sliding and pivoting with respect to the frame as the first and second panels move between the closed positions and folding open positions.
